So good in fact, that I gave them to a friend that installs wiring harnesses for cars. I then ordered myself another set, with even more keys on it this time. Some of these keys fit a bit tight, but all worked on the respective plugs for which they were designed. Much faster, safer and easier to use than cutting and resoldering wires. Half of the key was in my hand, and the other was inside the ignition - flush. I figured I’d be lucky if AAA helped with this sort of thing, but I got even luckier by ordering this Key Removal Kit.I circled the tool that will help, if you’re in the same situation I was. This was the specific tool that helped to get the key out. One other tool I used (and broke while using) that was “key”, no pun intended:A pointy ended eyebrow tweezer. None of the metal tools in this kit has the strength of hard steel; for the price you’re paying it makes sense. Using the tool with the “J” hook on the end is the only piece I needed. I tried the others and they weren’t helpful.It took me 25 minutes to wedge, prod, pick and pull out the other half of car key that was stuck in ignition. I was doing cartwheels afterwards, not believing I could do it!It’d be nice if someone sold a steel version of the J hook, since the rest of the tools are useless (for now anyway).
