This is the second one we have bought (the other was probably 10 years ago). We actually tried electric sharpeners and others like stones and nothing seems to work as well and quickly as these little sharpeners. They take up so much less room as well. We found out about these from a fisherman who keeps one with his tackle to sharpen his fish cleaning tools. Perfect for small spaces like campers! My husband likes to have a good edge before he trims roasts and steaks; these get a really crisp edge on even the biggest butcher knives.

I love this sharpener. I have a Work Sharp belt sharpener that I use for my kitchen knives, but this is smaller and easier to use. I go5 it yesterday and immediately opened it and used it to sharpen my pocket knife; did a great job, quick and easy. This will go in my tackle box so I can sharpen my filet knife in the field (seems like I always forget to sharpen it before a fishing trip and have to filet with a dull knife). Great sharpener, really fast shipping. I ordered it Wednesday morning and received it Thursday.

I wasn't sure what to expect out of this little thing. But I ordered it anyway. It is a great, handy little sharpener that isn't bulk and cumbersome like the steel rods. I felt like it was able to sharpen my old knifeblock set. However, it does leave shards/spirals of steel so do your sharpening over the trash or use a paper towel underneath. I'll keep this around for quick and convenient use.

There is nothing we don’t love about this ! We purchased several of these for Christmas and everyone raves about them. Great size, not to big, and works wonderfully!

I tried it out on some kitchen knives that were getting a little dull. A few swipes got them back to their original sharpness. It will make a great addition to my tackle bag for a quick sharpening before I fillet some fish. It is nice and compact but big enough to still make it easy to use.

Was surprised that this little sharpener did a great job from kitchen knives to hunting and utility knives. Love that it is small and easy to handle. It comes with a cover and fits in a kitchen drawer easily. It doesn't do a great job on kitchen shears but maybe it is because I can't separate mine. Overall very satisfied with this purchase.

Redi-Edge knife sharpener was very easy to use, even for my first time with this type of sharpener.I picked an older beat-up knife for the first attempt and it did very well.Compact and has a nice belt sheath that comes with it.
