Night and day for WSM if installed well
Worked great for me. I actually got 2 applications out of this length of material which was a bonus. Used on WSM 18 and 22 smokers for the lid. Used on WSM 18 for the door. Night and day difference in performance and ability to maintain a steady temp. Highly recommended.I think the use of the product really comes down to understanding the product design and material, as well as really ensuring a proper installation. If you take the effort to ensure a good installation and the application of the product is reasonable you should see great results.Make sure the surface is cleaned and prepped appropriately. Make sure you don't have weird gaps or overlaps. Do not stretch the material as you go, this is a big one. Gently guide the material where you want it to go and make sure you relieve any tension as you continue to adhere it. Don't worry if you have to pick it up and restick it, I did this during install and the adhesive worked well. This may not be true for dirty surfaces, so clean it.Good luck and happy times.

Major Improvement for Masterbuilt MB130S Pellet Feed Smoker
First let me share that the length of this gasket is 15 feet, since I don't see it anywhere in the description. Plenty for a 30" or 40" pellet smoker, with two bands across the rail that separates the firebox from the upper cabinet and a single band around the rest of the cabinet door frame. My initial efforts with my new Masterbuilt MB130S smoker left me a bit worried about its ability to accurately control and maintain temperature. It's an un-insulated unit, unlike their electric smokers. I'd read that installing a gasket on the door would improve the stability of the temperature, and it most certainly has. Previously, I had to set the smoker to 240F to get it to maintain an average temp of 225F, but now I can set it right at 225F and I'm good to go. Before the gasket, the temperature would swing from 185F to 240F; now it stays mostly within 220F and 230F.Application was very easy; the gasket backing has a short tab that makes peeling it off easy. I thought my installation turned out quite professional looking :DI'm very pleased!

Sealed up my smoker (with help of better adhesive)
PROS:*Sealed up the door of my smoker which is letting me better control temperature inside my smoker!CONS:*Adhesive was HORRIBLE. I spent over an hour prepping my smoker door to ensure that I had a good, clean, smoke/great/etc... free surface for the gasket to adhere to. As I was putting the gasket on, I had to keep going back and pushing it back on as the adhesive just wasn’t even trying. I ended up putting down a layer of high temp silicone and putting the gasket on that to hold it and that worked MUCH better.

Great for barbecues and smokers
I just purchased a Dyna-Glo charcoal barbecue and noticed a serious gap around the lid & firebox. This Nomex solved the problem quickly and easily. Cut & trim to fit (note: recommend very sharp scissors) and stick. Try not to stretch when applying. There was enough Nomex to completely cover the underside lid and firebox door with extra (about 1/3rd) left over. Let cure for 24 hours and you’re good to go. I chose this for the high temp (1000 degree) protection and the great price. Remember, I applied this to the underside of the lid to keep juices or debris from collecting/spilling onto the Nomex. All in all, this was very simple and took about 10-15 minutes with excellent results. I’m very happy with my purchase and recommend this to any griller/smoker looking to better their results.

Cheap, effective solution for WSM door leak
I bought this to seal the door on my old style 18" WSM. As great as the WSM is, whoever designed that door should be tried for treason. There are a couple of vendors who sell upgraded replacement doors that provide a better seal, but I found just applying this gasket worked well enough that I'm not having any issues controlling or holding temps now. It's very easy to apply, and the adhesive hasn't been affected at all after probably a dozen cooks over several months. To be clear, I applied the gasket to the inside of the door, not to the body of the WSM. There's still a small amount of leakage, but not enough to impact my cooks anymore.

Novice Griller/Smoker
I have a char-griller duo(gas & charcoal). I don't have a side fire box, so, I wanted to seal the charcoal side of the grill to smoke indirectly. Followed the directions on the back of the bag. I sprayed a degreaser on a rag and scrubbed the adhesive surfaces around the lid. Let dry and did the same with rubbing alcohol. Applied the adhesive backing 3 inches at a time. The roll will slide off of itself(see pic), so keep it taught when rolling it out. I have used this grill previously and it has a lot of grease and oil!I will update this review after several grillings and smokings. Stay safe and Wang Chung tonight!

Great product!
Wiped the door of my smoker with acetone.Applied tape very easily.Works great!Made a huge difference in the amount of smoke produced as well as controlling temperature. I used this on a Masterbuilt elctric smoker. A must have for electric smokers Imho. Only problem was some little fuzzy left on my smoker box.

Adds heat, but doesn't stick too well.
I did a full scrape and scrub of the outer edge of my propane smoker door to have any chance of this sticking. It lasted for a few openings/closings of the door, but after a few times on my first smoke, it started to peel off. Maybe it's a tad too thick because the amount of rub it has, I can't be shocked that it did peel off. I'll keep fiddling with it and the unused portion I have yet to get through smoking in the Michigan winter ahead, but I'll look for a new solution once this roll is gone.
