Cash Flow For Dummies Kindle Edition

Is not too practical, more accounting theory and concepts

After reading this I was able to find a multi-year balance sheet template and do a cash flow analysis of it. Whenever I want to learn about something my first stop is the dummies world because they are consistently good. Cash flow is a life-or-death matter for any entity from individuals to the largest corporations, so it is good to understand this.

I find myself using this book for many classes. Would recommend.

This is a great book. It was very helpful for me working in accounting since I haven't formally studied it. Although it focuses on the cash flow statement, it covers the other financial statements as well.

Here are the facts:1. The authors of this book do not make any attempt to reference FASB or AICPA guidelines.2. This book was written by a father and son team. The son is not a certified public accountant and the father spent most of his career in academia.3. This book is so poorly written, it is hard to understand the concepts the authors tried to explain in it.4. Most sentences in this book are long run-on sentences that do not make sense.5. The authors do not explain the calculations behind the numbers used in many of the tables in this book.

Still working through the book,so far so good and once again I enjoy the view point from the management's perspective. It also identifies account jargon in lamens terms.Hopefully I'll remember to update this after reading the book in it's entirety.

Order hard copy ebook hard to look up chapters, not hard just not like you could on actual copy.
