AI New EZ-Swap Vacuum Pump Exhaust Oil Mist Filter with KF25 Fittings for Degassing Chambers Vacuum Ovens

We purchased three of these to date from this manufacturer for use in our lab. Product comes with KF-25 seal and a single KF-25 clamp with filter as pictured. Filter holder can be split open by simply pushing downward and rotating to access filter. We have installed these on three direct drive pumps (<10 CFM/min) and they are working well to date. I have not seen filters available yet as individual units for sale on Amazon. I hope the manufacturer makes the individual filter elements available for sale.

Product is nicely made, and I bought it to eliminate oil fumes from vacuum pump spreading in building. Unfortunately, this product doesn't eliminate the oil fumes, and I cannot really tell if it even reduces the fumes. When I put a wet rag over it, I see very little oil smoke. After all, I'm not sure if this product is worth the money.

Since I could not find any documentation on this item I went ahead and had one ordered through our team parts coordinator. This unit makes me very nervous the way it is held together. It is spring loaded to hold the filter cartridge down and then you twist the two halves together to lock them but my thought is that one a vibrating vacuum pump this thing could very likely come apart and that spring loaded filter will go flying across the room. Every other mist filter I have used is screwed together so it can't come apart and none of them are spring loaded. I was only able to twist the two halves about 1/4 inch - I should have taken some pictures before I put it back in the box. I just don't like the design of this thing. I feel like whoever designed it doesn't have a whole lot of experience with vacuum pumps.
