There is very little to no degradation of intensity to the smoke by using these. No important things are being filtered out - only the harsher stuff. For those worrying that it reduces the “buzz” this is my effort to assuage those worries.This is my 4th order of these. I use them for both rolling in a paper and also in a straight glass pipe (chillum).When I need them to be thinner for a “pen” or very thin type roll, I simply cut them. Cut in half, they have a nice flat side that sort of helps to create a firm side to grip and roll. Cut into 4ths it’s perfect for those “pen” or “pencil” type thin rolls. Or for a thin end to a nice big cone roll.I’ll be honest, when rolling in a paper I cut these down 95% of the time. For me, that makes them last longer so I don’t mind. Not to mention when using in a glass pipe (or even the new rubber ones) the full size filter fits almost perfectly. If you lick/wet around the outer end, they stick even better!After using these to filter out some of the heavier elements from my home grown smoke, I tend to NEVER choose to smoke without them. I find other rolls without one of these to be super harsh. Just tells me how much benefit I’m doing for my throat and lungs by using these filters. Let’s be honest, we’re not stopping anytime soon, so the if we can treat our body while enjoying our smoke, why not?Do yourself a favor and buy these. Your throat and lungs will thank you.

Quality in these filters is getting very inconsistent. It used to be that almost every filter in a bag was firm and consistently dense. But in at least 3 bags in the last 5-pack I bought, the filters feel very soft and squishy. Cheap. It's also weird that the paper (which I normally remove so it fits more easily in my cigarette holder) has considerably more glue than it used to. Not as much filter but too much glue. Doesn't make sense to me.
