I have bought this soap 5 times and plan to continue buying it in the future. I use it for body and hair. The purest, simplest-ingredients REAL soap you can find for the best price! I've bought from various sellers in the past 7 years and know good Mediterranean soap, have traveled extensively in Turkey and bought from the markets. Yes, it will be slippery - because it's real soap with no chemicals. Yes, it smells fresh, non-intrusive, heavenly - because it's real soap from olive oil like soap is meant to be. No animals or habitat were destroyed in the process and you'll be hard pressed to find a non-palm oil soap these days. Yes, it changes color as you go through the bar, absolutely like real soap made the traditional way is meant to be. Yes, it is hard enough yet soft enough, which means it was dried sufficiently so lasts well and doesn't go mushy, but it isn't like other versions that feel like a rock. Yes, it employs people with the honorable task of maintaining an old art and bringing to the world non-toxic skin care. A real jewel in the West!Had broken-package issue and the seller responded immediately giving me double credit for the missing bar. The customer service was outstanding like only Turkish people can deliver.

I've tried numerous brands of olive oil soap because it's so good for your skin, smells great and is all natural. This brand is the best at the best price that I'm aware of. The scent is light and earthy but not so earthy as other brands can be.

My skin has never felt so good or looked so clear.I was having trouble with breakouts and I was just over being a 30-something with worse skin than a highschooler. Also, I have eczema. Side note: I'm a licensed esthetician. I should be able to handle these issues, easily, as I've done in the past.Well, I started looking at my skincare regimen. Everything i was using had some type of fragrance or emulsifier or additive that I just couldnt pronounce, so I took everything I was using and put it in quarantine. Ordered this soap and used it on my face and body. When I get out of the shower, I put pure aloe on my face, and nothing else. After 2 weeks my skin was completely clear and glowing and lovely.I will say, I'm a bit mad that I now feel as though I should throw away like $100 in skincare and beauty products from my bathtub because they are doing more harm than good to my skin. But the good thing is that this soap is super inexpensive compared to all that other stuff in the bath and I will now have a nice organized tub since all I need is this bar of soap. Yay!Also, I gifted out 2 of these bars to friends that I thought should try it. The bars are packaged so nicely! It would make a nice gift at Christmas. Spend $12 and you have 6 amazing bars of soaps to gift, each in their own beautiful box! (Which side note.. unless you're gifting them, the boxes seem like a waste of resources. But that's probably a whole new subject.)The scent is neutral. The soap feels good and lasts a while. Get it! You wont be disappointed.

My wife could smell it when she opened the mailbox. When she brought this in, she asked, "What is this, perfume?" I opened up and leaned back. It did smell strong. Maybe not like perfume but laundry detergent. It's not the smell of olive oil. I have had other brands of olive oil soap that didn't knock you over. Olivella doesn't smell like this.Once I started using it I didn't think it was so bad. The smell was OK during showering. It's in our downstairs bathroom now and you can smell it in other rooms. If it doesn't calm down I'm going to have to keep the package of bars in the garage until I need one.It's a pleasant enough soap while you're using it, but it's pretty rude just sitting there. My wife might hunt it down and throw it in the trash, honestly.UPDATE: The problem seems to be that the boxes the soap comes in are heavily perfumed. If you have a reaction when you get the package throw out all the boxes and let the soap air out.

Lovely soap! Lathers well, leaves skin soft, moisturized and the soap has a soft, luxurious feel. Very nice!Would recommend.

Good value. Several large bars of soap, the best I've found among those that avoid coconut oil (and thus mold). Even without sodium laurel sulfate, it lathers.There's nothing wrong with the scent. It's fine. In fact I wish it lasted longer.

This is probably my favorite soap ever. It smells amazing, lathers up perfectly, and the bars are huge, so they last a while. Plus, it’s great for your skin and free from harmful ingredients. Honestly, this is hands down the best soap out there.
