W7 Light Grain Humidifier with Aroma Therapy Feature

I bought this as well as a larger unit from Costco. They promoted it for working cleanly, as it not only sonicated but heated the water. They specified using tap water (our water is not very "hard"), probably because it has chlorine, which keeps some bacteria/mold at bay. Unfortunately, even when I cleaned it as specified, then started cleaning it every evening, bacteria built up in parts of the unit hard to reach (the tower part). I could tell by the smell, then when I went at it with brushes and running water, a lot of green buildup washed out. There was a lot of lime that kept building up and was often hard to clear away. Halfway through the winter, I noticed there was white powder building up all over the surfaces in my condo. My furniture, windows and mirrors all became coated with it. I know it is just the mineral content from the water, but it was unsightly (see picture).

To be honest, I’ve not used it yet, but in pulling out of box and reading instruction booklet, I can already tell this is a big waste of my $130... and thank goodness it came from Costco who will return without any problems. . First of all, everything is plastic.. cheap, cheap plastic and there is no indication anywhere of the square footage the W7 will cover. ....probably not much since the tank is the size of my coffee pot.I also was surprised that they didn’t recommend using distilled water , like most good humidifiers recommend.....but, hey what do I know . Anyway, not holding out much hope for this cheap piece of overpriced pc of plastic that from a distance Has such a nice look.

Excellent, with minimal Mtce compared with others! Took a 1,000 daft home from 18% to over 40%! Costco cheaper!!

Add this one to the trash heap of cool looking devices that really don't provide the basic function of what they are designed to do. No wonder they're blowing them out at costco for half the price.

I bought this from another vendor and I loved the look, and when it did work it was great. It stopped working, however, after 30 days (the power switch was non-responsive - it would not power on). I attempted to contact the company (Objecto) on numerous occasions because I really wanted a replacement, but they never responded to me. I finally returned it to the vendor for my money back.

Well it really was impressive to look at and everyone admired it. It worked for a month then quit. I'd not recommend it!
