Nuby Little Fox Musical Cot Mobile

I am soooo happy I decided to buy this cot mobile!! I thought about whether I needed one for a while but after doing a lot of research on which one is the best value for money (I thought some are quite expensive), I finally got this one – and it was the BEST decision!!Now before I go into the pros and cons, I have to say that I am actually using different plush animals with it as my daughter was just more interested in the cheap colourful ones I got from IKEA while pregnant than the ones that came with the original Nuby mobile (you can see in the pictures that the IKEA ones do look more exciting from her perspective). Thankfully it's super easy to swap out which toys you want to have "dancing" on it (you could even make your own ones) as there's a hook that you can attach anything on. I am still using the Nuby animals over my changing table for her to look at but I think they are simply more aesthetically pleasing (or Instagrammable) for adults than they are for babies and hence why I gave this mobile four stars instead of five.Prior to buying this mobile, my baby was never content being anywhere by herself for more than 5 minutes (so I was never able to do anything unless she was asleep) but she will happily lie in her cot looking at it for 30-40 minutes without getting bored or unhappy not to be with me. She actually starts smiling and giggling as soon as I turn on the music and she sees the animals moving around.I had looked at so many mobiles in different price categories and ones that did all sorts of fancy things but this simple design is all I need and here are my pros and cons in more detail:PROS– The mobile is super easy to assemble and the arm attaches well to my IKEA cot bed– The music box is great, simple to use and plays five different nice and cheerful melodies and doesn't have any of those super annoying ones that you don't even want to turn on if it entertains your baby– You can either have both on – the music playing and the animals rotating – or just one of the two, so animals moving without music or just the music without the animals rotating– The different levels of volume are perfect, from low to high, depending on what baby likes– The music box is battery operated and also has an on/off button at the back– It plays for 20 minutes straight and then stops– The animals rotate at a perfect speed, so my little one can follow them easily and it also makes no noises when moving aroundCONS– I wish the music box had a white noise button, so I could use the mobile to make my baby fall asleep as it's solely an entertainment for her like this and she'd never fall asleep– I do have to add the mobile's original plush animals to the cons list (even though they are lovely and great quality) as I've already mentioned that my baby is just not that interested in them. I would, of course, prefer them as they are a nicer colour and much less "unobtrusive" than the colourful ones I am using instead but my little one doesn't find them quite as stimulating – I was kind of expecting this before buying the mobile as everyone always says that babies prefer bold colours and I don't mind using the other ones I had, so it would not stop me from buying this mobile again!So all in all, I would 100% recommend the mobile as it works perfectly, the music box is great, it attaches easily to the cot and my baby genuinely loves it so much (the music included! – she's always "calling me" when it stops), which makes me feel less guilty for not entertaining her myself (but sometimes you just need this half an hour to maybe feed yourself, get ready or have a break of carrying around a fussy baby). This is probably my favourite baby toy I have gotten so far, so don't hesitate to get this one if you've already read a hundred reviews of other mobiles like I did when doing my research and I hope this was helpful.

Love the colours - muted and a pretty colour palette which would suit both boys and girls. My little girl loves the Fox and owl faces and happily lay on her back watching and listening to the music when she would otherwise be wriggling and getting restless very quickly. The volume control is good and the selection of music is lovely. Silent press buttons on the control are helpful so as not to disturb sleeping babies!! Easy to put together and attach to the cot. Definitely recommend this and would make a lovely gift.

I needed a cot mobile for my little one's cot so it didn't look so bare and she's loves it, didn't want a colourful mobile as didnt want her to be stimulated when it's bedtime so these colours was perfect for that. Only downside is if you little one is on the top level of the cot the mobile will touch their face as the bracket isn't long enough but i ordered a 34inch bracket instead and it helped raise it higher so the plush toys weren't touching her face. All n all a happy purchase.

Difficult to separate the rods once assembled. The toys hang too low when mattress at highest line of the cot. Toys are hung from the perspective of the adults so baby just sees plainer bottom sides. If the toys could be detached and played with would be added bonus as they have sound features calling for touch and handling. If the rods could be height adjustable would be ideal. Music decent and has volume control and mute option. Can turn or just hang. Toys are lovely.

The actual mobile is cute and OK, however the holder is cheap and awful, if feels like it's going to fall apart any minute. I am using it on a travel cot from tutti bambino and it does not attach perfectly either as the clip bit is not big enough for this kind of cot. It should be fine on a normal crib with bars, but bear in mind that the holder is not sturdy at all and I have concerns of would fall off.

We wanted it for our little girls bed but as she’s only 4months old, the mattress is obviously raised in the bed/cot, which meant the mobile was too low. Overall it was fine but would have been good if it could have been taller or even adjustable

Pointless purchase. The mobile stopped rotating after three nights use. It's a shame as the mobile itself is beautiful and fit in perfectly in my daughters woodland themed room. But obvious if it isn't rotating anymore it is a pretty pointless purchase.

I really loved this mobile, it’s great value for money and I find it the best looking out of the ones available. It’s not overly plasticky and the figures are adorable, in neutral colours so easy to go with any decor. The problem really was that this in no way fit our crib. The screw attachment only works with bars so if you have anything else it probably won’t work at all. I tried as much as possible to fit it but it just wouldn’t stay on safely sadly, so worth checking well ahead of buying.
