W9 Light Grain Tower Humidifier with Remote Control & Aroma Therapy Feature

We've had this for about 5 yrs maybe more. We bought it from Costco. Works great still. Was using distilled water and had to clean it more often and it grew mold in the top part of the water tank. Had to order a new one. Then I noticed in the manual it says don't use distilled water. So I have soft water with carbon to filter my house water and it's been better. The black heat thing is flaking and it's very hard to clean the tube inside the tower. It curves and is long and I haven't found a brush that will work. I tried to take it apart to clean inside the tube and ended up breaking the tower at the bottom so I taped it. I think it needs to come with cleaning brushes. Overall it's been good to us.

Esthetically wonderful, functionally excellent, until it stopped working after three months, just after (rumored—nothing in manual?) warranty expired. Hope Costco will refund or exchange.

I initially purchased this from Costco. I've seen a lot of complaints about it but it works fantastically however, use distilled water in it and it should be fine just like mine.

Looks cool but that’s where it ends! Worked fine the first night, after that it leaked all over the floor every time we used it. Cheap overpriced junk!

The media could not be loaded.  Works great all good but remote control is BS doesn’t work.

I picked up a couple of these at a local store that was having a special on them for $179 each. They look absolutely beautiful but I've found that they were not worth the cost.The capacity of the unit is much too small for a large room. The company representative told us that the unit would run for 22 hours per refill. This turned out technically to be true if the unit was run at the lowest setting. At the highest setting the unit lasts for 8.5 hours before needing to be refilled so it would have to be filled 3 times a day.The output on the highest setting still was nowhere near enough for a large family room. I monitored a humidity gauge while it was running and never saw a rise in humidity in the room more than 2% even with the machine running for hours on end. The output should be enough for a small bedroom but that would be about it.One strange issue I had with these units was the fact that the first few days of running them caused my air purifiers to go off due to impurities it detected in the air. They would kick in immediately after starting the unit and did not stop while the humidifiers were running. They reacted this way for a couple of weeks before finally seeming to stop. It is probably not a big deal, but something to be aware of if you have any breathing issues.The small remote control that came with the unit failed within a week. It is possible that the watch battery the remote uses died but I never tried another due to the lackluster performance of the unit.One of the most annoying aspects of the unit is that it beeps fairly loudly 5 times when the water is depleted. This seems to make it a bad choice for using in a bedroom as it would wake most people up when it beeps. I contacted the manufacturer to see if there was a way to turn the beeping off but never received a reply. I would expect a bit better from a company selling an item in this price-point.Overall this is a beautiful looking device but one that does not perform anywhere near well enough to justify the price. Not recommended.

Brought this at Costco on a special sale. I have been running it for two days now. I am very pleased so far. I have a 1900 sq ft house, and one unit was able to push the humidity from 32 to 44 in the Bedroom, this is where it is located and the living room from 23 to 27 percent. I don't expect this one unit to be enough for the whole house, but waiting for long term use before I buy a second one.

This Humidifier has been terrific! I got it last December because the air is so dry here in Arizona and a year later it's still a fantastic humidifier!! This was a great purchase!
