For $50 I couldn’t be happier with this little knife.
The media could not be loaded. This is my first pocket knife purchase and for $50 I’m very pleased. The aesthetics of the copper scales and the design is what drew me to this one. Here are my day one impressions:- I have fairly large hands and it is just big enough to be comfortable to hold.- the blade is D2 steel and out of the box it is not super sharp but easily cuts paper.-The clip is very stiff and feels like it gets good purchase on the pocket so that it will not easily pop out.- The pocket clip can be placed on either side of the knife and on one side appears to have a second position that will allow it to ride a little higher in the pocket.- The copper scales give it a good feeling of solidity and heft in the hand without being too heavy.- The flipper is fairly low profile and it definitely takes some force to activate. I put a couple of drops of oil on the bearing and have worked it several dozen times. It feels like it’s already starting to free up a bit so I’m not too worried. It is definitely possible to short-stroke the flipper but in general the action is quite positive. Certainly not glass smooth but will likely improve over time. On the other hand, since some real effort is required to flip it open I do not see this knife opening unintentionally.- The blade lock is very stiff and does not protrude from the frame very far so it takes some practice to work it with one hand. My thumb is definitely sore after fiddling with it for half a day. Again, this blade isn’t going to close unintentionally. It definitely takes some strength and dexterity to open and close with one hand but I am guessing that it will improve over time and at this price point I have zero complaints. It feels very solid. The only issues that I can think of is that since the scales are smooth and untextured copper, if your hands are oily or wet this thing is going to be difficult to hold on to so that would be something to keep in mind. Also, because it’s on the small side, if you don’t have the right grip on it when opening, the tip of the blade can make light contact with the thumb but nothing I’d lose sleep over and is easily overcome with a little practice.I’ve only had it for half a day and I already feel attached to it.

A beautiful and solid knife with a great shape
The media could not be loaded. This is my second copper Mini Natrix, I received the first one as a gift a couple years ago and loved it, but misplaced it in a move, and finally decided to get another one because I missed it so much.By the time I considered a new one, they had come out with two larger sizes, but as a lady with medium sized hands, I was happy with the size so I got the same one.It is a beautiful knife, and only gets prettier with patina. The edge geometry makes it a great slicer, and the handle shape feels solid and perfect to me.The D2 steel is a huge plus to me. I didn't know much about sharpening knives back when I first got it, but since then I've used and sharpened a lot more knives and found some preferences when it comes to that. For camping and hiking, I don't mind something with slightly less edge retention, I carry fixed blade knives in those situations in 12C27, 14C28N, 1095, or 1070, which have less edge retention than D2, but are buttery easy to resharpen. For a folding pocket knife, I like something with a little more edge retention, and D2 is a great steel that is still not difficult to sharpen and often very affordable. I've found the copper Mini Natrix in D2 to be lovely for that use. I carried this knife every day for a couple years and in fact never needed to do more than strop it to keep it in excellent sharpness.I am used to my knives coming in various stages of sharpness from a seller, sometimes they are shaving sharp and sometimes basically blunt like Tramontina, but that doesn't bother me since learning how to sharpen. This knife came scary sharp, and that's a nice bonus! The fit and finish of this knife is excellent. It is a fantastic value for the cost.I like that this knife offers the quick deployment of the usual Kershaw knives but with a nice ball bearing system, I never had any issues with fast and clean deployment of the blade. It locks up rock solid, with zero play at all. I am very happy with my second Mini Natrix!I purchased this here through KnifeJoy, and when a problem happened with my order they were responsive and quick to offer help. Luckily the package arrived with no issues, but based on their customer service, I would go directly to them for my knife purchases in the future. Thanks KnifeJoy!

Great quality and arrived shaving sharp. Nice action and lockup. Would definitely buy again.

Great knife
Blade is sharp, and is just as long as the handle. So even though it looks like a small knife when closed, theres plenty of blade for what it is. Love the sharp-looking copper handle.

Awesome knife
Super cool knife with a solid and confidence inspiring locking mechanism. This is also my favorite and one of the most versatile blade shapes. The size is a touch small for me though and when you first get the knife the action is a bit tight, but the factory edge is incredibly sharp and the balance of the knife is excellent.
