These are lightweight and protective. The only downside is that when they get wet they stretch a bit. I wear them when I hike or work in the garden. The price is right.

No rating for touch screen as it does not apply to these gloves. I have purchased goat skin gloves for several years after learning about them from a co-worker. They are durable and flexible and allow one to work in comfort without being bulky, Unlike pig skin and cow skin gloves these give sufficient flexibility that power tools can be operated easily (and safely). I generally use a pair for so many different tasks that the gloves get impregnated by oil and dirt and abraded by wood and metal that they become nearly unusable before they wear out. I pass the older ones down the line to use with painting or handling really filthy things so that i get a maximum of use out of them before they are sent off to glove heaven.

I love goatskin work gloves, but they can be hard to find in hardware-store racks. They conform well to your hands, and though they're not as abrasion-resistant as cowhide, I don't mind replacing them more often, because they're comfortable enough to wear. Cowhide gloves are stiffer, and I find myself leaving them off (so I can feel what I'm doing), and then my hands get chewed up. With these goatskin ones, the feel is good enough to handle fairly small objects without clumsiness, and I tend to keep them on. (In my experience, deerskin is about halfway between cowhide and goatskin in these respects. Pigskin is closer to goatskin, but goatskin is the best of the four.)--- These gloves are well made. The fingers are long enough and of ample width. The stitching looks good, and the skin they're made from is of uniform thickness, without the thin spots I've seen on other gloves.--- Unlined gloves are also good for winter work with silk glove liners. They can be separated when wet and they dry out faster that way.--- Though these gloves are made for welders, I use them for working with heavy or abrasive stuff while doing miscellaneous building repairs, and sometimes for shoveling snow.

I've heard Tillman gloves recommended before but this year with the mummers a couple union guys had some of their Tillman welding gloves at the garage and I tried them on and they were NICE! So I decided to order a pair when I got back. These look like the cheap gloves you used to find at KMart but I pulled them on and rather than feeling like pulling on pieces of particleboard they are actually quite comfortable and it doesn't feel like it will take much to break them in. They're quite then so I don't expect them to last forever but for the little work around the house I do they should be quite nice. I only took off a star because the left thumb is inexplicably nearly an inch longer than the right thumb. I'll trim it down and resew it but seriously?

Soft and work well for hand protection and as lightweight welding gloves

Come in handy for dirty jobs.
