EVO IX Fitness Indoor Bike with Sway Frame and Orb Gear

I bought this one because there is no belt to break and no chain to lube. It was a snap to put together but I strongly advise to follow the directions. It is heavy but because it is sturdy not for useless nonsense for the purpose of lasting a long time. I have put over a hundred miles on it so far with no problems. The display shows time RPM and distance. There were no good pictures on the listing that I purchased. I will give updates if needed but I think it will be a while. Lastly it does make noise due to the gearing inside of the crank. It doesn't bother me but if you are looking for a silent machine look elsewhere.

This is a very good bike. It has a combo SPD/ toe clip pedal, it is very durable and was pretty easy (although heavy) to put together. The "sway action" is unique. The electronics are not fancy, but functional. It is very quiet and well-built. The only thing keeping me from rating this item 5-stars is the front-to-back handlebar adjustment. No matter how hard you tighten the knob that holds the handlebars in place, they still move. I have a pair of vise grip pliers on the bike to stop the assembly from sliding forward. As a side note, I ordered the white-orange bike, but the all-gray one was delivered.

Bike doesn't assemble. Bolts and Hex Wrench don't fit where there supposed to. This is a colossal waste of money for a piece of *** made in China

Looks sharp and I find myself using it much more than I would have ever thought. I'm not 100% sold on the benefits of the swaying motion, but it is comfortable to ride and I am constantly hopping on for short jaunts. I wasn't sure how the gear motion thing would feel, but it does give good resistance as if you were actually riding a bike. It does not "coast." You will have to slow your biking motion gradually to reach a full stop. I keep this in my living room (Yes, I am a natural couch potato) to get in some workout while watching TV. I usually get tired before any sessions greater than 5 minutes, so I have no hardcore session insights as of yet.

I like the idea of hoovering... It feels a little awkard, only because I'm use to Spinning bikes at the gym. Love the color, easy to assemble thanks to mose of the hardware being pre-assembled. the display stops accummulating time, distance, etc. when you stop peddling. Which may be an incentive to keep moving.

Excellent workout. The bike seems to be quite well built and sturdy. I like the Sway frame action. Will know the the real quality of the bike after few months of use. The electronics portion and the read out display are very basic and functional. . The resistance adjustment is very gradual as it should be. I wish that for this price, Heart rate option was included. First impressions are favourable

I have to be honest; I didn't get the EVO on Amazon; though considered it. The price is good, and you can pay for it slowly with the Amazon Store Card (special offer 12 months), but I found the same bike on Craigslist here in town and decided to purchase it used.It was in great condition; almost new. I have never owned a piece of gym or bike equipment for the home, so I had concerns about maintenance and durability. But so far, the bike (according to the owner was like 2 years old), and he had used it religiously (he just needed space in his basement). And the inner parts are covered up, so you can't see if anything is broken or needs maintenance (which in a way, is nice because if the inner parts are sealed, it may keep parts from oxidizing or getting dirt/sweat build up). I have been using it every day; for the past 4 months and giving it a true beating; including standing up intervals and then sitting.I can honestly say that it is still working for me well; and the dial is easy to turn to change endurance. I didn't get to put it together, as I bought it assembled, but it's a gorgeous bike!!!I've already gotten several compliments on it from guests (I live in an apartment, so I can't hide a traditional hideously-designed spinning bike) and this EVO, I want to show off!! And if you have to move it around the house, it's easy. Just tilt it on its front wheels and voila!Lastly, you can adjust the seat, the front handle bars and foot pedal straps. The only downside is you cannot move the seat back (or front); just up and down (as far as I can tell).I had to review this bike because after seeing a competitor spinning bike advertised lately on TV (you know who they are, LOL), I had to give props to this fitness bike manufacturer because the EVO doesn't seem to be getting any praise or marketing (at least from when I was researching the EVO when I considered purchasing it). You won't regret your purchase if you decide to get it. It's not a fancy fitness bike with lots of bells and whistles, but it will be your best friend (especially on snowy, cold Wisconsin days; like today!!). :)
