This book don’t focus only on the technical or the strategic part of endgame play, instead it tries to make a all around introduction to endgame in general. Great book to start before deepening the study with Dvoretsky, De La Villa, Shereshevsky or Hellstein

From an initial flick through of the book, the content looks great, however all the diagrams of the chess boards are very faded and a little blurry. They could use more ink. Have attached an image

Useful for chess players of all levels who want to improve their game. Highly recommended, even players of a superior level of achievement will find (be reminded of) useful hints and tips. Essential reading if you want to win difficult finales.

For example, what to do when you have one bishop and a pawn Vs. the lone king?This is so far *the best book* I have seen for learning chess endgames.I have just started to learn chess and this book has been a great help.If you would like to learn strategy, tactics, and other aspects of a chess game, try his other books, they are very good too!!!
