This is an awesome field knife for the money. Buy 'em before they're gone!
I have bought four of these: two for me, the others gifts. Never had a quality control issue. And if I did, like I did once with a United Cutlery Bushmaster Smatchet, simply return it and get a replacement. This is an awesome field knife for the money. I hear these knives along with other UC Bushmaster lines are going to be discontinued soon. Production Chinese made, yes, and so what? For ~$40 it's a good chunk of working metal with a comfortable wood handle. Balance is fine with just a hint of forward weight. Sheath is well made and stitched leather - worth $40 alone. My knife has held up well for a year doing light-medium yard duties (cardboard, rope, light plastics, small flower branches, and martial arts cardboard attacks -lol!) and I've yet to sharpen. Just wipe well after use. I turned my cousin on to the Bushcraft Explorer knife after his beloved Ka-Bar was stolen, along with his truck, and he now loves it; has totally forgotten about his ex. He's a die-hard camper and a professional HVAC commercial installer dude, so he takes it up a notch or two on the field with his knives. Has yet to sharpen his in over a year. The way I look at it is you can really work this knife and if you ever lose it or damage it (through dumbness) you're only out $40. Then you just go to your closet and get the other one out. Hopefully you'll take care of the second one a little bit better!

Great Bushwacking Knife
Quality knife that can handle any bushwacking job. Very sharp, gorgeous ergonomic handle, beautiful sheath that you can trick out with add ons. Easy blade to maintain.

The sheath is low quality
The knife overall was really good. However, the sheath is of a cheap material the is cut easily. I accidentally canted the knife while sticking it in the sheath and it sliced right through the material easily. Other than that I would have given it a five star rating. The knife 5 star, the sheath should actually be a 2 star 3 star tops.

Really decent value for what you get
Is this the best knife I own? Absolutely not. BUT, I would definitely say it’s the best value knife I own now. For $50 this is absolutely a steal with that sheath. This is a big, beefy chunk of steel. I haven’t got to baton any wood yet with it, but just feeling the knife out I can tell it’s going to be a lumber murderer. This thing is solid.Don’t have your expectations set as high as you would for a $100 knife. There’s tiny little deficiencies in the wood work etc, but they are so tiny they are hardly noticeable. The sheath is super nice. I would probably pay $30-$40 for the sheath alone. The knife I would say about $30. If you buy it with the correct expectations, I promise you will not be disappointed. It’s definitely a great value for what you get.

Way better than you think.
Large, sturdy, full tang handle. Lanyard hole its a nice touch. Sturdy, sharp drop point blade. More handle than blade is perfect balance. Allows hard use with good control and comfort for my mechanic hands. This thing is nearly indestructible, easy to sharpen and keep sharp.Sheath is amazing, versatile to wear, and of similarly high quality in design, workmanship, and material.Ordering another for my go kit. This thing is the large ring mauser of knives.

Not bad
This is my first knife purchase ever and overall not bad, but you tell this was made in a factory in China. There are some imperfections in the product and the scales (wooden handles) are not flushed with the metal. It was a little hard to get it on camera but I think I got it, it's the left side of the blade. Which its ok, like I said you can tell it was made in a factory in China lol, but the leather sheath is great I personally feel like it better then the knife lol, it holds on well vertical and horizontal. the Velcro seemed pretty cheap and I didn't think it would more then a week and its held up so far but, you can also just remove them and make your own straps. The pirce for this product seems fair for what you get, so overall not bad.

Best Father's Day Gift Ever!!!
Received this from my daughter on Father's Day 2020. Boy did she do good. I love this knife!!! It was razor sharp out of the box. And the sheath that came with it is awesome, I wear it horazontal carry and carry it everyday and everywhere. It is easy to concealed carry if that's allowed in your state. Did I mention I love this knife?Great product and is well built would definitely recommend to friends and family and would like to have another in case something happens to this one. Thanks Nixb for this gift, I love you!!!
