Guns Germs and Steel came highly recommended by a friend that has studied origins of societies. It is how geography and environmental factors influenced the development and progress in different societies around the world. Very enlightening.

Amazon was nice enough to replace the book with another book and the 2nd one had the same problem. I will be returning it shortly

Very helpful to get an overview of a book packed with details in very small prints. I use it to select the part of the book I have a particular interest for detail reading.The summary is well worth the money to delve into the book that had helped me to understand how we have come to what we are after 13,000 years.
