Mail Boss 7506 Mail Manager Curbside Locking Security Mailbox, Black,Large

Fantastic and heavy duty mailbox. We have received a hardship mail delivery due my husband's illness (I cannot leave him for more than a couple of minutes). We were able to put our mailbox right off our deck so the mail can be delivered close to our door. I feel like my mail is safer now. And when that hardship no longer exists, it will be mounted on a 6x6 near the other mailboxes (in a shabby row) but on it's own sturdy post and I feel like mail will not be stolen out of it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Wow! I bought this mailbox SEVEN years ago and it still looks great. It is really secure... I have small hands and I cannot get my hand inside to grab any mail, yet small packages and 9X12 envelopes can go through. My son is moving and I came back to buy him one for his house now. I highly recommend it!

After having our mail ransacked and stolen we ordered this sturdy mailbox. Extremely easy to put up on the existing pole. High quality that will last a very long time.

We love this mailbox! It's very well built, and looks great! I'm sure it will last for years. I highly reccommend it.If I had a complaint, I wish I could leave it unlocked. Unfortunately the way it's designed, it only allows it to be locked. If left unlocked, the "door" flops open.

no chance for anyone to steal your mail....todays times are changing and when you now have to protect your mail from thieves, this is the best choice.....you just need to teach your mail carrier to make sure they open the letter drop door and don't just try to shove the mail through the slot....

Best looking mailbox on the market, BUT I wish they had a non-locking version. Having to pull out a key every time you check your mail is kinda overkill IMO as I’m not THAT paranoid and live in a pretty safe neighborhood. No one in my entire neighborhood has a locking mailbox. I’ve seen people mod these taking out the lock, adding a pull handle and magnets, but it just stinks that Mailboss doesn’t even have one in their lineup, perhaps making it a tad cheaper. But I can see how the locking aspect might be important to some people, so I can’t really knock it for that.I’m also not a fan of how the door just completely falls as there’s absolutely zero tension and it’s an extremely heavy door. Also seems like the mail carrier would hate the mailbox as inserting mail needs to be done 2 handed pulling the door down just enough to leave an opening in, but I suppose that’s their problem.All in all, I was looking for looks over function and this delivered. This seems to be the go-to mailbox for the modern wood plank mailbox that’s trendy right now, so I got it for that. While I’m not finished with it, it achieves the look perfectly.

We needed a locking mailbox for recent thefts in the area. I like that it isn't huge but gets the job done. Now, if someone really wanted something they could pry it off and/or open but at least it is a deterrent.
