The dialogue in the episodes between Laverne and Shirley is amazing and extremely well written. And there is a lot of acrobatics performed on the couch by the two actresses who seem to have done all of their own stunts, some of which can be dangerous. The timing between the two actresses is simply amazing. A first class series that has withstood the test of time. Even Paramount made it so that one didn’t have to write down where one stops on a given disc, unlike the Paramount Blu-rays and 4K discs. And the DVD transfers are first class, easily rivaling some Blu-rays.

This set really does "make all our dreams come true--for me and you"! At least as far as fulfilling the wishes of L&S fans who want a great complete series, in one streamlined package, at an affordable price. I took a chance and pre-ordered it, since I saw some of the episodes on TV in the last few years and wanted to watch the entire series. Now I own my favorites and am discovering new ones. The packaging is a happy surprise--I just don't see how it could have been done any better. It saves storage space yet still has everything I was hoping for. I love that the Milwaukee episodes and the California episodes are separate, each in their own plastic cases, making it so easy to find whatever episode you want. Milwaukee eps are seasons 1-5, California eps are seasons 6-8, clearly printed on the cases. Not only are the episodes listed on the inside of each plastic case, they're also listed on each DVD...does it get any more user friendly than that? The episodes I've watched so far seem to be unedited. If they're edited, it's not much, as far as I can tell. As I said, I'd only seen them on TV until now, and the TV episodes were heavily edited. These don't seem to be. The original opening/closing music is intact. And the picture quality's great.I wish I knew who to thank. This set was so thoughtfully and carefully put together, obviously with the fans in mind, making it easy to find whatever episodes you want to watch. Such a fantastic job! The box this series comes in provides an easy way to keep the set together...but what a cool way to design it! All the icons are there, that make Laverne & Shirley the beloved series that it is. Lenny and Squiqqy, posing against the backdrop of a bottle cap. The factory line as the bottles go by (which, after all, is in the opening credits of at least the first couple of seasons). I love how, in the designs found on the plastic cases, they put Boo Boo Kitty in the center of a flower. A bowling pin's in the center of the other one. Laverne & Shirley with the record (Fabian, probably?) The box isn't nearly as important as the DVD's, and the overall quality of this set, of course. But it's an extra little bonus for loyal fans. Now, for the DVD's themselves. It's not a new show, so maybe the DVD's aren't as "high def" as some people prefer, but the DVD's are as good as it's possible to get with a series that originally aired in the 70's-80's. Even better quality than expected.In my opinion, the only things missing that could have been included with this set, are cast commentaries and the pilot to Laverne & Shirley, which aired as a Happy Days episode. That was the episode that launched Laverne & Shirley, and this addition would make it perfect. And I almost forgot to mention that a bonus episode is included! Apparently, part 2 of "Shotgun Wedding" was a L&S episode, while part 1 was a "Happy Days" episode. No worries--they are both included with this set! Part 1 is the bonus episode.

I’m obsessed with Laverne and Shirley! lol! I wanted to make sure I always had access to them, so DVDs make it so convenient! They came in great condition, the box was wrapped very nicely. I’m so excited!… “Betty Pleaseeee”!💖

I dont get T.V. so I love this complete set. Watch and re watch when ever I want.

I purchased this as a "Complete Series", but disappointed to find it does not include all of Season 7 and the final Season 8! The show is being broadcast on one of our TV stations (using an antenna), and the shows now being aired are not included in this "Complete Series"! If you don't mind not getting all the shows that aired on TV, they are wonderful to watch!

My daughter just started showing interest in this show and soo I got it on dvd so she can have it! I'm soo excited to give it to her for Christmas

So enjoyed the Laverne & Shirley tv series. If you are a fan of Laverne & Shirley, I would definitely recommend this DVD of their Complete TV Series!

Auf die Serie bin ich nur durch Zufall durch einen kleinen Ausschnitt im Internet gestoßen. Ich war davon so begeistert, daß ich, trotz des recht hohen Preises, die Serie unbedingt komplett sehen wollte. Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht, die Serie ist jeden Cent wert!Die Handlung ist ein Spin-off der Serie "Happy Days", angeblich gibt es auch ein Cross-over mit "Mork von Ork", soweit bin ich aber noch nicht gekommen (178 Folgen a 25min). Die Serie spielt anfangs in Milwaukee, in der die beiden Darstellerinnen in einer Brauerei arbeiten, die Handlung spielt sich dort meist in der Wohnung ab, später kommt eine Militärzeit sowie ein Umzug nach Burbank hinzu, was dann für mehr Abwechslung bei den Drehsets führt. Die acht Staffeln spielen in den fünfziger und sechziger Jahren.Die Serie wurde leider nie in Deutschland gezeigt und ist daher auch nicht synchonisiert worden. Dadurch wären aber auch viele Wortwitze verloren gegangen. Die Bildqualität entspricht dem Alter (ab 1976), trotzdem kann ich die Serie jedem nur ans Herz legen!

How wonderful to watch these old sitcoms. I feel this series has amazing talent. They are extremely great actors, singers and dancers. Lots of different story lines and keeps one interested through the whole series.

There were two series that cemented my love for American Sitcoms when I was growing up in the 70's Mork & Mindy and Laverne & Shirley and as I'm writing this I've just started Season 4. The show hasn't dated at all and with all 178 episodes in one embossed slip cased collection this is going to take the best part of two full days without sleep to watch. There isn't one episode in the collection that isn't funny and you can tell the cast were friends and even though there were countless reports of arguing on set and cast walk outs the episodes don't show it.Yes, you need a multi-region player to watch it in the UK but it's worth it and is one of the many reasons why you need a multi-region player because I doubt this excellent and timeless sitcom classic will ever make it to the UK

Laverne and Shirley is a Happy Days spinoff, but one as successful as its original show. I love 1970s TV shows and this one's no exception! The humour is great (without being crude, like many modern sitcoms), the actors play their roles to the tee and the storylines are light and fun! Laverne and Shirley is like comfort TV : you know you're going to laugh, there's a coziness to it and it's "intelligent" humour, so you won't cringe at inapropriate jokes.I recommend it to everyone!
