Nasty!
My wife ordered this as a remembrance of her childhood. This was nothing like she remembered. Entirely too sweet, too expensive and too tasteless. $15 for 2 cabbage rolls. To complete the order, she vomited them back up within a half hour. She still not sure what kind of meat was in them.

A quick main course that doesn't require refrigeration or freezing.
These beef stuffed cabbage rolls are a bit sweet for my taste but provide a good main course. The amount of liguid used to pack the rolls seems excessive.

Do not freeze!
I was skeptical of a product that says it needs. no refrigeration til 2027. I ummediately froze it for a couple weeks. finally yesterday I tried it. As per the instructions, I used the microwave 9blech or hot plate would take far too long.unfortunately the meat came out overcooked so I cant speak for the flavor yet. It smelled like frozen food. I will give it another try, because the certification is reliable OU/Passover. If it is indeed something edible, It's a great find for trips, work and especially during passover Chol hamoed (the in between days of passover). Also its Gluten free and has 29 grams of protein and only 290 calories (its small). Its 17grams of carbs , of which are mostly the vegtables, If you are on a low carb/ keto diet, remove the potatoes i cant promise you wont break ketosis but you wont break passover or kosher which is way more important!!!

Portions are small and very salty
This is the first time that I ever ordered these kinds of ready cooked, kosher meals, that don't require refrigeration. They only require a microwave to heat up. I'd like to state that the kosher meals that I've ordered on international airlines, and even domestic airlines in the past, tasted better, and were larger. In addition, they were much easier to open. Also, the meat was way too salty. However, my biggest complaint is that it was very, very, difficult, and frustrating to remove the plastic lid, covering the meat. I could not pull the tab up, to open the heated contents. Finally, I took a scissors, and cut away various sections, and pulled the meat out, using a fork, or just shaking the package. The instructions regarding opening the heated package, were lacking. Last, I noticed that from package to package, the size of the section of meat was larger in some, and smaller in others.

Smells great, tastes great - but Grease or lard is main ingredient. Would Not buy again.
Received this package and thought I would eat it. The directions say heat for 3 minutes and I heated for 2 minutes 45 seconds. Was almost too hot. I vented the film covering food by cutting into it with a knife and making a 3 inch slit. The plastic film sealing the food has NO tab, so after heating I could not grip the plastic and had to use small scissors to cut film while very hot food. I then noticed my hands were covered in thick grease. I thought that was odd. Washed my hands and noticed that the knife and scissors had a thick white grease film covering it after a few seconds in water. It was very gross.Smells great and tastes great. I mean it tasted amazing, BUT, the food was more of a casserole and nothing was separated. No problem. I noticed that after eating I was so full, I thought I would throw up. Very unusual, since it was not a big meal. If my hands touched the food anywhere, it was very greasy. I realized that Grease or lard is main ingredient. I did not get sick but purposely made myself throw it up. The reason is if it is that much grease or lard in the meal then I would have the runs or worse later that evening. Without being gross, everything that came up was incredibly greasy and had to be rinsed and scrubbed several times. A fun fact, the grease or lard even coating my stomach made me feel 100% full till next morning. Since I had no food in stomach that is weird. Like I thought, I had diarrhea middle of night real bad and that is with 99% of the food not in my stomach any longer.I do NOT recommend this product for mankind or animals. I have some of their different meals and will test them to see if this greasy before even cooking but I suspect it is. Would not give to even animals. It will fill you up but I cannot imagine how bad it is for your health.

Surprisingly good for shelf stable meals
My wife has many food allergies, and I try to keep a few days of shelf-stable food around in case of emergency. Since I have no food issues, I have lots of options. My wife does not. I've been trying out options for her (she wants emergency food, but isn't that thrilled about searching for options). So, I order this and tried it. I think this is fairly expensive, but you get what you pay for. I can eat Completes, but the beef choices only slightly resemble beef. I tried the Beef Goulash version of this shelf-stable meal - it contained actual pieces of meat. The taste was pretty good too.I will be buying more for her and will try other options from the same brand. It's definitely nothing fancy, but for shelf-stable food, this is fairly high-end.
