I LOVE these stirrups! I bought a black pair for my dressage saddle and also have them in brown for my jumping saddle. My feet stay in place, and I love the pad, which provides a better grip. They are made of plastic but have held up well and are easy to clean. Highly recommend.

Helps keep my feet in place

Have not ridden in these yet as I just received them today.. I am excited to see how they feel, and will update this review after my ride. BUT these stirrups ARE NOT ALUMINUM, they are plastic with aluminum cheese graters. This is fine for me to practice in BUT I would never show in these. pretty disappointed so far, but like I said I haven't ridden in them yet. Updated to follow.

My 70+ yr old mother who could not really post anymore could instantly post again in these stirrups. I'm in the Equestrian field professionally. I compete show jumping, eventing and dressage. I love these stirrups. Yes they are a type of plastic on the sides but that was done on purpose... they are insanely light, incredibly stabilizing, safe and I love them. No knee pain problems anymore after riding cross country, unstable riders that have had trouble with balance in the past and knee issues and ankle issues LOVE them. I also have Lorenzini stirrups, Tech Stirrups, HDR stirrups, Flex Herm Sprenger stirrups, and I love these Acavallos.
