Works as expected
Used with a ATC 128GB M.2 SSD. Works as expected. The screws are a little confusing but actually quite innovative once I figured it out. The double-ended bud goes between the M.2 board and the IOCrest, and you put a little screw in on both sides. Works just fine with my USB->SATA adapter.

Does not work with nvme drives
I would not allow me to use my name drive. I spoke with someone in support via chat and they said it was not for nvm drives and they did not have any adapter cards that would. I have used the same card before to read Samsung name m.2 drives from damaged Lenovo T960 laptops. I have no idea why my previous card worked but not this one.

Does not fit into an actual PCI or PCIe slot; can't be used in one with M.2
I got this to use with an mSATA card and it works fine. However, it seems to be designed for use in a case where the motherboard has no PCIe connector corresponding with the slot cover. This may be true for many cases, but not with mine and the description does not stipulate. The card mounts on the bracket too low to clear the bus connector. I was able to jam it beside the connector, but this would not work if I had an M.2 card installed. (See photo.)Unfortunately, a low profile design may not be able to accomodate both an mSATA and M.2 connector and be vertically small enough to clear the bus connector. While this card is functional, it should be used in a case slot without a connector on the motherboard. The motherboard cannot have other protruding components near the slot. THIS LIMITATION SHOULD BE MADE CLEAR IN THE DESCRIPTION.

bracket holes wrong
This works correctly, but the metal bracket or tab holes are too low for my desktop! With both screws holding the board and SSD chip-side-up, the board touches the motherboard and the metal tab is too high. They include a low profile tab that is too short for me.To fix the problem I only used 1 of the 2 screws to raise the board up. This makes it unstable, wobbles, easily twisted. With the SATA cables on, the board sags. I propped it up with a piece of plastic styrene.Unbelievable they could not design the bracket for standard ATX case and mobo.

Just works
Works great. Have used with both mSATA and M.2 SSDs for cloning purposed and had no issues. It does not have the length to accommodate a 22x80 M.2 SSD, but a strategically placed rubber band works in lieu of the screw in a pinch.

Dirty shame because it seems to be good quality otherwise
Won't work with an M.2 SSD I pulled out of my laptop after upgrading. The connector is too small by about 0.5mm on the larger contact count side. Dirty shame because it seems to be good quality otherwise.
