Butter Smooth
Only US made oil with high molybdenum for dry metal parts and esters that are polar oil particles that hunt metal. Most oil travels over metal, esters hunt the metal and stick to it. Creates better film strength. It also has higher zinc, like the levels before the gov't lowered the allowed level. They can get away with this because it is a high performance oil and not regulated like the other oils like Mobil 1. Nothing wrong with oils like Mobil 1 for most engines, but it isn't redline. All of the other oils out there are very similar, but only Redline is ester based. It is truly like any other oil on steroids. My Hemi engine is smooth as butter with redline. Listen folks this is the real deal, the base oil is made from the reaction of an alcohol and an acid, the esters have no oil in the oil, it is truly synesthetic and only group 5 oil is synthetic. You can get great performance out of other oils in regular types engines, but if you have a high performance engine or engines prone to have ticks like a Hemi, then you want a ester based oil. Beware, unless you want a clean engine, do not use this stuff. Some older engines that have been abused, this may not be the oil for you. Your engine may not want to be clean. You can still use Redline, but you may want to go up viscosity to counteract the cleaning this product will do. This oil is a 20k mile oil change interval oil. Meaning, you will have tbn that protects against acid buildup, one of the main functions of oil. Also, even though oil will get dirty through the combustion process, your metal parts will not be dirty like if you used mineral or dyno oils. Most importantly, to go with this great oil you should look for a great filter as well. I highly recommend Royal Purple filters, they are high flow and synthetic fiber and also will last 20k miles. I have taken apart a Royal Purple filter after 2 years in service, and it was still like new. Paper filters wont even last 3 months, they become stiff and blow holes and they filter no longer. Royal Purple filters are made from spun micro glass, they will never degrade. They can however get clogged over time, so you should change them when you change your oil, and with Redline oil you can easily go 15k miles with no worries, and up to 20k miles if you get a Used Oil Analysis from a lab like Blackstone. I hope this information helps, in my opinion redline oil is the best oil made. The performance goes way beyond other oils. Most engines do not need this level of protection, but for those of you who want the best for their vehicles, you have found it here.

The only motor oil I've tried that made my engine noticeably smoother & quieter....
I've tried Mobil 1 Extended Performance, Pennzoil Platinum Ultra and Castrol Syntec, and Redline is the only motor oil that made my engine noticeably smoother & quieter after the oil change, and it stayed that way for as long as I've been doing 6k-7k mile oil change intervals with the Redline. My vehicle is an Infiniti Q50 3.7 (VQ37VHR, same basic engine as in the G37 & 370Z), and it's an engine known to be quite sensitive to oil quality and runs best with a high quality ester-based synthetic such as Redline. I was pleasantly surprised that the motor ran noticeably smoother and quieter especially at higher rpm, and I also saw a minor increase in overall fuel economy as well. Redline also has a good amount of detergents and cleaning-agents in it so it will really keep your motor very clean over time. It might be a little more expensive than most of the other synthetics out there but in my opinion it's well worth it.

It is worth the money!
Great oil!! I run it in all of my cars even my tuned q50 3.0t sport. Oil doesn't burn off like off the self stuff you get at stores. I dont really notice an increase on mpg but I dont have a decrease either in mpg. The engines in all my cars are more responsive and when I did a valve cover gasket change on my son's car, which use Redline 5w30 and I cant even explain how clean it looked on the camshafts and other components in the top of the head, this was done at just over 100k miles. All in all, I will continue to use Redline products. I dont know how many miles this product is good for, I always still change my oil at 3k miles because turbo gdi vehicles love fresh oil.

5w30 works as advertised.
This oil keeps my Ram's 5.7 quiet. I change this oil every 5,000 miles, and at 90,000 miles my truck runs the same as when I bought it new with 17 miles.

Great Oil for 370z
The 370z is known for having a loud and often ticky/tappy engine. The engine is very sensitive to the oils you put in it. Ester based oils are recommended but not required. However, I've found that ester based oils help with the ticky/tappy engine sounds. This oil, however, not only helped with the ticking but almost completely removed it. The engine is quieter under heavy loads, revs marginally smoother, and overall fuel economy increased about 0.3mpg. Doesn't sound like a lot, but when you go from 19.7 to 20.0 it feels kinda nice. Anyway, if you have a 370z I definitely recommend this oil over all of the other ones, as of the review date at least (formulas change).

If you have the dreaded ‘Hemi tick’, this is for you
I’ve owed 5 Hemi powered vehicles in my life, including the 5.7L, 6.1L, and 6.4L. All but one (the 6.1) had the ‘Hemi tick’, even the ones I bought brand new. My current 5.7 has had the tick since I bought it with 11 miles on the odometer. I tried several different synthetic oils, and none made much of a difference. Royal Purple and Amsoil helped a little, but the tick was still there. One of the online forums recommended Red Line 5W 30. It was absolute night and day. After changing the oil and starting the truck for the first time, the tick was present for literally 3 seconds, and went away completely. I was sold from then on. I’ve changed my oil about every 6-8 months (full synthetic and low mileage driver) since, and all is great. If you’ve got the Hemi tick, give this a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Good stuff
I drive a 1998 Nissan Maxima V6 3.0 DOHV and when I changed to this oil I noticed the engine sounds quieter, smoother Idle and a 1-2 mpg increase. Ive also used this in a 1982 Volvo 240 Turbo and I could have swore the Turbo spooled more responsively and again a smoother idle on that car. Ive also used it in a 1998 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3 vortec and noticed a 1-2mpg increase. This oil is great, I will keep buying it

Excellent product with a superior additive package, but it's way too expensive. If you're maintaining a classic, or high dollar vehicle, or new no miles vehicle, I would say go for it but otherwise it's just too expensive.
