Xtech 8 LED Battery Operated Super Bright Night Light with Automatic Motion & Light Sensor

I needed to light a dark entry porch while waiting for the ceiling light to be repaired. This works so well I'm not going to bother to replace the ceiling fixture. There are two in the package. I placed one at head height, on a shelf, facing the door lock I needed to illuminate, and one sort of at knee height to illuminate the floor. I did try other arrangements and this combination worked best. They are quite bright and very reactive to motion. What I like is that it I don't have to fumble for the switch: I open the doors from either direction and they are on. I read in other reviews that it was too bright. I'm very light sensitive - I wear dark sunglasses under almost all outdoor circumstances including cloudy days - and these do not bother me. I did end up simply propping them on shelves because the adhesive strips failed fairly quickly. If you need to use adhesive strips, I would recommend getting something super strong from a hardware store. I have been using these since early January and I'm still on the original set of batteries.

Horrible Light (not even suited for an under the sink cabinet light let alone a closet), Motion Sensors Didn't Work. Returned After 1 Day.

I like them, but it doesn't get five stars because in the dark, when you need them, they don't go on until you're almost on top of them. I acknowledge that this problem may be insurmountable, since how do you detect motion when its pitch black. The answer is probably buy more. I would have appreciated being told a little more clearly that the detecting of motion from 15' away isn't true in the dark.

I put these in a pantry in the kitchen and they really work well. It's so nice now to open the door and the lights come on so I can see what I'm looking for, and then go off as soon as the door is closed. The light is good and bright with one on each side of the door. The batteries last a long time because the lights are not on continuously.

Has both double sided stickem and holes for mounting. A good light source. Motion sensor works well if dark enough. I mounted two in a dark closet. Happy I did.
