Bulldog Cases Pistol Rug without Handles

I use these soft handgun cases for protecting my revolvers and pistols when traveling to the firing range. They have excellent thickness for preventing any nicks or scratches to my handguns. Sometimes I also use them for temporarily storing the handguns in a gun safe when I return from the range but I normally use gun socks for safe storage to give me more storage capacity. I have never dropped a handgun when stored in the soft case but I feel it would fully protect the revolver or pistol if I accidently dropped a firearm. The zipper works well and is durable and the case folds flat when the handgun is removed so it can be used as a protective cushion on the shooting bench.

I bought two of these with a very narrow purpose in mind...transporting a couple of firearms to and from the range without clanking against each other. Bulldog calls these a "Small" size pistol rug, but it fits perfectly on my SA XDM-9 and SA Range Officer 1911 45. Those are two good sized handguns.The cases fit snugly, but not so tight that I have to stretch the zipper or anything. Best of all, being such a snug fit it minimizes the amount of space they take up in my range bag. I like that the finish on the exterior is slick so they slide in and out of the range bag easily. There is plenty of padding so that if you dropped it, I believe it would fully protect whatever was inside.Great Pistol Rug at a Great Price!

The "Small" is easily large enough for a full size 1911 or full size polymer firearm. The fit is a little snug around the grip of a full size polymer, but with use I believe the case will mold to the firearm.Overall the case seems to be well made with quality materials.Perfect case for taking a firearm to the range in a range bag and not have to worry about scratching or marring the finish in any way.

Heavy duty

This is my favorite pistol rug of the 3 different brands I own. One small design difference - the flat nose - yields multiple small but noticeable benefits. The flat nose means that a rug properly sized to fit my larger pistols (Shadow 2 w/ optic, Tanfo w/ large magwell) fits smoothly into my range backpack. My other brand rugs are longer without having any more useable space due to the rounded nose, and they all have bent noses after being stuffed into my range backpack many times. The rounded noses on other rugs also give the zipper an annoying corner to hide in when zipped all the way to the end of the track - I never have to dig at the zipper to get this rug unzipped.

I bought this case for my new Colt Anaconda 44 Magnum. I needed a large case due to the long 8 inch barrel this revolver has. It also has enough room to carry three loaded speed loaders with room to spare. Over all it's a very well made case with enough padding to protect my gun. So the zipper broke the first time I used this item to store my firearm. I’m not sure if this is just a lemon for this particular one or if it is an example of the product line itself. Amazon is sending a replacement so hopefully it is just this particular case. But, other then the zipper breaking, it seems to be a quality product. It fits a S&W Mode 19 with a 6” barrel nicely. I will add to the review upon my replacement case.

Solid padding. Zipper very well done and stitching nice and no issues on any of these I received - and I received 4. They keep my pistols from jostling when I go out on the range in my shooting bag. They run a tad large - mediums provided plenty of space for M&P Shield 9 and .380, M&P Shield .22 Compact and a regular M&P Shield 9 Gen 1. And even enough space for an extra mag in each with the guns snugged inside. At 8 bucks each you can’t touch this at the big box sporting goods stores!

This is large enough to fit a handgun with that large, bulky trigger lock, and still be able to zip and lock it.

Ordered for my S&W 686 with 6" barrel. Fits perfect. If I were purchasing one for a CZ or a Glock etc. then I would get the small size.

I've been buying Bulldog pistol and rifle cases since 2016and I must say the the quality is always there.In two words: nice and inexpensive.
