I Want an Ostrich

We enjoyed reading this. It was funny and a had bit of a sing song. My son especially liked the drawings, he thought they were funny.

The book is very cute but it came in an envelope so it arrived damaged. It is bent like if it had been rolled up and there are a couple creases. One of them shows on every page of the book from the front cover to the back cover. As far as the content of the book I think it’s great for early readers. Not much of a story but it’s cute.

A funny story about a boy who wants an ostrich as friend. Apart from one teensy tiny spelling mistake, the story reads easy when you catch on to the rhythm. Great illustrations complete this lovely story.

"I Want an Ostrich" is a well written rhyming book with awesome illustrations. Explaining why you want an ostrich isn't easy, but this little boy manages to find many reasons to have one. It's fun, educational and an adorable story.

I was looking for a fun read aloud for my grade 2 class when I came across this book. This book really fit the bill with its rhymes (perfect lesson for grade 2) and warm, fuzzy feel. The brightly coloured pictures are also so engaging and really add to the text. I can’t wait for the hardcover edition to come out so that I can add it to my classroom library!

My 8 year old granddaughter loves reading this book to her 5 yr old brother and 2 and 1/2 yr old sister.They all enjoyed the pictures and rhyming words.This book is a big hit in my home.

The grandkids loved this book. Great illustrations with nice rhymes. Large print made for easy reading.

I bought this book for my son. It's original and playful. He likes it.
