Sherpani Milli Small Messenger Bag, Plum, One Size

I have had very good experiences with Sherpani bags in general. They are well made and very durable, which is always a nice thing. I use this as a cross-body bag as I have torn ligaments in both my shoulders, so I am actually unable to carry any kind of bag in the conventional manner. As such, I can't speak to other reviewers who say that the strap is too wide and it slides off the shoulder. What I can say is this is a spectacular cross-body bag. The strap is made from fabric like those in a seatbelt - it is somewhat shiny and slick, but enormously durable. It is also long - I am very heavy and quite rotund so I generally have problems getting a cross-body bag that has a strap long enough to make it across my body! This one is great - long enough so that it sits perfectly on my hip at full extension (I'm 5' 5" tall). Normally I really don't like bags with a flap closure because I find it to be difficult to get things out of the bag while It's hanging off of me. This one is small enough that this isn't a problem - the flap is sized so that it is easily out of the way while you are rooting around in the body of the bag. One of the best features is the material - it is stiff enough that the bag holds its shape, so that it is easy to look through the bag without having the sides collapse in on you. The inner lining is the traditional Sherpani light yellow, which makes finding things even easier. It should be noted that this is a small bag - this is a plus for me because it keeps me from overstuffing it and making it too heavy to carry comfortably. However, it has plenty of room for the basics - I carry a check-book shaped wallet, some lip balm, a notepad, some pens, eye drops, etc. and still have plenty of room for a large Samsung Note cell phone. There is a small outer pocket on the side that is made of stretchy material - in a larger bag it would be for a water bottle, but I don't see how one could fit in this pocket. However, it is perfect for holding my keys. Another major plus is that all the zippers are heavy-duty plastic or polymer. I love this as the bag doesn't rattle as I walk. All in all, a superior bag which I have been using steadily since I purchased it. The only improvement I could see them making is to use waterproof fabric. As I live in Washington state, it would be a plus for me! Great everyday purse, great price. Very happy with this purchase.

I have had two Sherpani bags prior to this one. It's not that it's a bad bag, it's just wider than I thought it would be. It can hold a lot! I have three kids and I can hold way too much of their stuff in this thing - socks, granola bars, cars, etc. Once you pass the baby stage, you want to reclaim a little of your personal space and the purse is part of that. That said, it's on the boarder of too big. The shape is a little off too. The inside zipper doesn't actually close the bag either, which keeps the big stuff in, but once your three year old turns it upside down and shakes it, it's over. The little wallet it comes with is also too small. You can't actually keep money in it without folding it into 4s, which makes me feel like a teenager with wadded up money when paying. Overall, it's just ok.

The first Milli bag I ordered was made very well which is why I went on to purchase a second one. This one seems to be cheaply made...I notice that they are made in China now so maybe that has something to do with it because my first one was not made in China. The magnet that holds the flap closed is a lot smaller than the magnet in my original Milli purse and often times my purse is not securely closed with the smaller magnet. I also notice that the zippers are not as good of quality anymore, they work fine for now though. That being said, I do like the material this purse is made from. The size of the purse is also nice and it is a great cross-body purse and a good size to throw all my stuff in and I like that is has several different pockets for organizing everything.

I ordered two bags before this one. this is the perfect size for me. I walk my dog for 5 to 7 miles a day. This is large enough to hold a water bottle and collapsable bowl in the summer, and gloves in the winter. The outside pockets are great for phone, treats, and bags. I love the money holder, and use it all the time. I clip my keys to the money holder string using a carbine. I'm really happy with the bag.I would have given it a five if there had been more color choices. I would have preferred a blue or green.

Its ok for cross body bag but I think I will get another one made of the waterproof type material. Size is great but the flip magnet top isn't as convenient as I thought it would be. Carrying a baby in a carrier and a diaper bag, I really need a convenient purse to use.

seems to be a well made bag but it doesn't hold it's shape well unless you pack it full of things - could do with more outside pockets, strap is a little too wide, key clasp instead is too thin and plastic which could break easily and doesn't unclasp easy for me.

This bag has stood the test of time. It is extremely well-made, and although I use it constantly it looks nearly as good as the day I received it. I keep it pretty full, but have had no trouble with the magnetic closure. I love the adjustable strap, and the external phone pocket. I hope that the company is still making one similar to this by the time I finally have to replace it!

I bought this bag for summer travel to Europe. It is secure, all compartments have a zipper. The bag is very comfortable, yet all essentials fit very well. Good material and nice strap that does not slip off the shoulder. I am very pleased. I only wish that Sherpani offered more color options.

This is a lovely messenger bag. I like the adjustable strap and the bag is made of good strong material. My only trouble is that the magnetic closing on the front of the bag isn't strong enough to hold it closed most of the time. I don't have the bag overfilled, so the magnets are meeting - they just don't stay put. Even so, there is a zipper closing inside so the contents aren't exposed. I recommend it, especially for travel, as it's not too heavy to wear across your chest while sightseeing.

I needed something for everyday use, rugged enough to hang a water bottle off the strap for the dog, but with all the pockets that a girl needs for her endless purse supply. This purse fits the bill. It's amazing. I am so very pleased with it :)
