At first I was put off by the price but I figured these are made from materials that are meant to be used in shotguns and should hold up. Then I did some math, and for 9 of bad boys, per shell you're paying about the same as a two pack of the cheap plastic ones. Yeah, it's still more expensive but they are worth it. As a wise tiger once said... "They're Gr-r-reat!" I've been loading and dry firing all day since they have come in and the only wear and tear is my arm from holding my gun and my finger from repeatedly pulling back the charging handle. They weight about the same as real loads and made from the same brass and hulls as well. B's recommends using them over a carpeted surface, and I would add open space. They will get away from you and last thing you want to do it start moving furniture to retrieve them. They only issue I've had so far is they have stopped cycling smoothly and get caught up, but I think that's more due to my arm and finger fatigue than the product themselves. The weight is good. Excellent product. There is a slight difference in the height of the brass between the colors. Call and ask if you are that picky. They are very helpful and nice. I'm happy with the black ones though. **Q: Do all the colors represent a different weight. The pics show at least 3 or 4 different size brass.** A: The difference in weight between the caps is mostly determined by their respective brass height. So, white would technically be the lightest of the 12ga bunch, while ultra high brass would be the heaviest. **Q: I have an 870 express magnum and want caps that mimick 3". Will these suffice?** A: I am not familiar with the 870 express magnum, these snap caps are 2 3/4". If your firearm can accept 2 3/4" they should work great, if you're specifically looking for 3" snap caps these are too short. I do own a set of 3" and 2 3/4" from this brand and they do cycle great through my 590a1 as it accepts both lengths. They also Have a very nice look and feel to them. I did look and it appears they do not have any 3" at the moment, maybe you can contact the seller and find out when they'll get more 3" in stock, Or check back later. These dummy rounds, while expensive, are well worth the price. Compared to the cheaper options, the weight (and the distribution of weight) is just like the real shells. It's evident that a lot of thought and engineering went into these. They feed and eject perfectly from my shotgun.
