This is well made because the bamboo is sewn close together to give privacy even though it filters in light. I am more concerned about privacy. These blinds are attractive honey bamboo color. I just hung them today. They came with 3 hooks to hang them on. They are easy to hang. I have not tested out the string because I’m using them for privacy so they will continue to hang. However the string looks/seems no different than the 4 bamboo blinds I already have. I would and probably will order these again. The only drawback is they are a few inches shorter than my other bamboo blinds.

I bought three of these to cover windows that are in direct sunlight most of the day, and as such they stay closed almost all the time. Within a few months of SELDOM use, the blind cords for all three of them began to disintegrate. The blinds themselves are great, but the fact that the cord falls apart so easily and quickly and renders the whole blind useless is a big problem.Not only this, but who knows what the cord material is made of that's been turned to dust, coating everything near it, floating around and going into your lungs. I've had to replace the cords for all three of them, about 150 feet of the stuff, this time American-made. These cost enough to have a little more quality considered for such an integral component for the product.

These shades are very easy to install and they help keep my rooms cool during the day and dark at night. I’ll be purchasing these for every room in my house.

I bought this for the color and that it is made from bamboo. As you can see by the picture the sun has bleached out the 'expresso' and now is looking like the 'amber honey' one. Looks bad, but all in all it is a nice blind.

Well made, attractive and perfect for shading my patio from afternoon sun. Very easy to install !Purchasing 2 more for the other open area of my patio.

One of the hanging hooks received was deformed and could not be used.It would good if the hardware was transferable from the right side to the left side for those people who like me had a post on the left side to tie off the cord for raising and lowering the blind.Otherwise blind was ok. I will probably buy more and find a way myself to transfer the hardware from right to left side.

Ok I was thinking matchstick blinds which I have in other areas of my home. I was happily surprised with the look of this flat weave bamboo blind. And an extra bonus is how amazingly it blocks the light as well. Easy to install and easy to use, definitely recommend.

I bought these hoping they would last for several years, but the cord starting fraying immediately and within a few months the cords were all frayed and starting breaking. I did not want to think about taking them down and trying to return them. I bought some nylon cording and restrung the blinds. I would not recommend these because of the cheap cording.

Nice blind, decent price. Works fine and the hardware is ok but easily replaceable with slightly longer nails or screws if you want it to be extra secure.

Very easy to install, though a little disappointed with the colour as it's considerably more orange than the picture (which looked more brown/ teak). Light blocking, though we're just using it to cover part of an open storage area. Works well either way.

Update: After less than one year of use I am now having to restring the cord because it wore through the line. If you buy this be prepared to redo the lines because along with the hardware, the cord is crap.The blind itself works well and is of nice color and quality; however, the hardware that came with it was a joke. No way that would have held up. Tiny little hooks with very small screws. We went to the hardware store and bought new screws and anchors. Blocks light well and provides 100% privacy.

These are a great cheaper alternative to ones I've seen sold for $300 at home depot. Easy to install and makes your room look stylish! Will definitely be buying more for each window of the house!
