Purchased 4 brands for reptile enclosures ranging from 1 star to 4 stars
Over the last 8 months, I have purchased 4 different brands of thermostats to power fifteen or so Reptitherms (under tank heat mats for reptile enclosures). Each vivarium has its own thermostat so the actual load on each thermostat is minimal: 12 to 24 watts (18 watt average). These are the four brands that I have tested so far (they all function basically the same and have Celsius as well as Fahrenheit settings) and I’ve listed their advantages/disadvantages as compared to the other units ranked from worst to best (Note: I didn’t retain any paperwork so, in terms of the warranty, I only mention what they have advertised):Propogate Pro- 1 star: The most expensive of the group at $22, they are the only brand to mention a guarantee in their ad (a 1 year warranty). Does not include a wall mount like Boho Farms does, but it does work over the largest range of temperatures: 34-108 degrees Fahrenheit and the casing is sturdy. Why only 1 star? This brand is the least reliable; 1 of the 4 units I purchased stopped working after only 6 months (none of the other brands have failed to date) which could have proven disastrous if we didn’t check the bank of thermostats daily. I searched the Amazon site for a way to contact the company to pursue the warranty but couldn’t find contact information for them. I’ve contacted Amazon’s customer service and, hopefully, they will be able to help me out.Bo Ho Farms- 3 stars: Both the second cheapest and the second most expensive at $17, their ad doesn’t mention a warrantee. It has the smallest range of temperature at 68-108 degrees Fahrenheit which makes it useless if you brumate your reptiles over winter and need to get down towards the 55 degree range, but they do include a sturdy wall mount that I have found (surprisingly) really helpful in terms of organization and the units have proven to be reliable so far.SunGrow- 4 stars: Tied for the least expensive at $16, it doesn’t advertise a warranty. It has a large temperature range at 42-108 degrees Fahrenheit which makes it great year round (it can handle brumation). Although this is a basic unit with no mount included, it’s been reliable so far.Zacro- 4 stars: Tied for the least expensive at $16, it, too, doesn’t mention a warranty in their ad. It has the second largest range of temperature at 41-108 degrees Fahrenheit (1 degree better than the SunGrow, 7 degrees higher than Propogate Pro) which makes it great for brumation and year round use. Although this is also a basic unit with no mount included, it, too, has been reliable so far. It slightly edged out the SunGrow unit due to the extra 1 degree in flexibility.

Works well for a lamp, not just a mat!
I bought this to control the best output from a ceramic heat element. The two items put together with a good dome work perfectly. The heating element is actually too strong for the size enclosure I currently have (heating always overshoots target temp by a degree or so) but I will be expanding my ball python's home soon. This is not a computer controlled temp controller that can compensate for that type of situation. It appears to be a simple on/off relay attached to a temp sensor, which is what this price point warrants. The temp sensor seems to be working well as i have an analog thermometer near the sensor and it reads what the digital readout reads as far as I can tell. The included instructions were pretty useless. Thankfully operation is fairly easy to figure out just by pressing and holding buttons in combination.I fully realize this controller is intended for a heating mat, not a lamp. Despite that it works just fine for my purpose.

Never reaches set temp, doesn’t heat up over 78
Does not ever warm or reach goal temperature. This is an issue as my pet needs strict and reliable constant temperature as if too cold it will kill them.

Loud but work for a value brand device
Used it for a year. Kept the temp +/- 5 degrees from its set point and always clicking on and off.. Works as it should but couldnt stand that clicking as i had them setup on my ball pythons in my bedroom

Price is right! Works well.
Works beautifully for our reptile heat mat! I was afraid to try this one since it had no reviews but I’m glad we did! We’ve been using it about 2 weeks with success. Will update if/when there’s any issue.

Oddly loud for living quarters
I'm sure this is a fine product for many situations. I was buying for a reptile heat mat in my living room, and it clicks loudly several times per minute, turning on and off, driving me crazy. Be aware of that - probably don't want to use this in your living room. Other than that, very easy to install and use, works great.
