Works pretty good
The media could not be loaded. I bought my 17 year old daughter her first car. It is a used 2010 Mazda 3 and it does not have a backup camera. I was wanting to get her a backup camera for safety I did not want to spend a lot of money on a head unit replacement. I searched on Amazon and a lot of these mirrors with a backup camera are well over $100. A professional installation it up car audio store near me charge me $100 to install this mirror camera. I decided on this one because of the price point so in total I'm out $170. Overall I'm very happy with the way it turned out as far as the installation goes. The camera works verywell hardwired into the car. Powers up when you turn the car on and Powers down when you turn it off which is what I wanted. When you put the car in reverse the backup camera activates. When you turn the lines that project on the screen do not turn the direction you're turning like they do on new cars but that's not a deal killer. You still have the lines project on the screen as a reference and should know that each line is about a foot long. Backing up as much safer using this pain before. Picture quality is really good. I was very impressed that the camera has small LED lights on it so to light up the backup area when in reverse. This is a very nice feature. I'm going to install an SD card into it this weekend. Knowing that it is recording in case of an accident to an SD card is a nice feature. I went into the settings menu and there's a lot of settings in there, and by default the video loops every minute so you don't necessarily need a very large SD card. I'm going to put an 8 gigabyte card in it. The only issue I have with The back-up camera is that it it plays video from the front camera while you're driving. You can change this to multiple views and I've changed it to only play the rear-view camera. But when you restart the car it defaults back to the front. I would prefer that nothing play while driving but I have not figured out how to turn off the video entirely. I've reached out to the seller and will update this review when they get back to me and I figure this out. I'm hoping there is a way to turn off the video while driving because when you first turn on the system the mirror looks just like any other mirror until the video is displayed on it. Then the video plays in the middle section of the mirror and you can no longer see out of the entire mirror. I don't like the video playing on the mirror while my daughter is driving cuz it could be a distraction. So I hope I get this figured out and I will update my review for you after I make contact with the seller. But overall I'm happy with it and do recommend it.

Mirror Magnifies Rearview - Takes Getting Used To
I have tried a few different dashcams and this one is the best for the price that I have come across so far. After spending quite a bit of time online and in-store comparing and analyzing specs, reading numerous reviews and determining my needs, I opted for this setup because I like that it doesn't "add" anything to my windshield. The cords that it come with suited my needs, and yes, they do have longer ones for those who want/need it. I have a Subaru Crosstrek and the cords were plenty for my needs. With the spudger (included), you can easily wiggle the seals and the seams of the upper edges of the windshield out of the way in order to conceal the wire, which is fast and easy and gives an awesome professionally-installed appearance. I would recommend getting a splitter for your car socket outlet, so you can keep this plugged in all the time (dedicated) and not lose a plug. Here's an example of one, but I suggest you shop around and find a quality one. Don't start a fire under your passenger seat with cheap adapters! Also, I use a socket outlet splitter that has a 3-foot extension cord so that I can conceal the wires under the seat, have the dashcam wire run internally (out of sight) all the way to the connection, and still be able to plug in a phone charger or other device. My socket is in my armrest, so I like that I can run a wire out of there and under the passenger seat, rather than having a bunch of wires clumped up in my armrest hole. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the mirror magnifies the rearview viewing area, which distorts reality and provides an unrealistic distance between your vehicle and the vehicles behind and around you. Not that it's a huge deal, but it does take getting used to (which I am still adjusting to...). If this mirror would provide the same viewing capability as my stock mirror, I would be very pleased. The description says it only works with 16GB and 32GB microSD cards, but I am pleased to report that YOU CAN USE A 64GB card no problem, so far I have had no issues with the 64GB that I put into it. Class 10. Don't get anything less than Class 10, cards are cheaper than ever these days so it's not like you need to save $1.40 to decrease read/write speeds...*** Be sure to put the card in, and go through the settings menu to FORMAT the card when it's in the device, and it should work splendidly. (I haven't tried a 128GB or 256GB, but do you really need to? Unlikely) If you are trying to record that much streamed time, I recommend mounting a GoPro to your windshield and go about it that way.*I will add pictures to this review once I have time*

Got it installed professionally
I had it installed this afternoon, seems good and clear picture after peeling the plastic film on the lenses, make sure you peel them off. I had 64GB card installed and seem to accept it "Recommended 32GB Max" but working with 64 somehow. look good and clear mirror and screen, in the next few weeks I will do more testing and check the recording if all would functions as it should..Also some buyers where commented how to get the screen tuned off, noticed you can set it in the settings for the "screensaver" to 30 second and it turns off and you'll be able to benefit from full mirror view. I will update my review if any issues found and after having for few days, but for now, hope it will function as it should and if not, hope they have firmware update and hopefully its easy to update it if any. And also I find it hard to see the screen when reversing in day light, screen brightness not that great but still very sharp.. but the sun and day light can block you from seeing well. It just seems you need a visor for this morrow to be able to see better during the day light .cheersUpdate,Seems to be working as it should, but I have one thing to say, the rear camera is not wide angle, you won't be able to see on the sides if someone walking or something . unlike my other cars cameras as you can see in better angles. Also menu bit basic and sometime you can't have control over what you want it do do feature wise. Also doesn't seem there is any Firmware updates to add more features or settings ..etc . but at the end, its good product and in very good price 4 starts .Thanks
