I love the koleston *me range. I colour my own hair, have done for years. I’m not a hairdresser but I’m very good at colouring! I normally use wella Colour charm and have recently turned to these instead due to the use of much lower % of developer ( less damage after bleaching)I bleached up my hair first using BlondeMe powder and welloxon Perfect 20vol, added olaplex bond multiplier in bleached mix to reduce damage & got my lift to pale banana peel colour.. I then combined this with equal parts of this + 10/96 of 30ml each and 120ml (2-1) of wellaxocon perfect pastel 1.9% & I have not used the lower % of developer before so I was amazed at how good the results turned out with the toner!To do a light shadow root, I painted my roots and hairline first, left on for 10 mins then plonked the rest all over, pulled it all through, n left it on another 20/25 mins and washed it all off.. I then used a good hair mask for 5 mins then conditioner n photos are end result.I have different combos of colours to try and il review when I do.. Hope this helps..if your hair is very dark, seek out advice from a salon before using. I use these as my hair has been blonde for a long time & easy for me to do this.

I have alot of allergies but this is ideal and far better than ones hairdressers have used previously on my head. Love the colour and doesn't make my hair turn ginger at the roots. Will purchase again and again.

I used to buy the consumer branded permanent hair dyes from supermarkets and noticed that every time I dyed my hair, this was accompanied by significant hair loss on washing out the dye and then the conditioner out. This also lasted about 4 weeks until I had to repeat. I switched to this product as it is what my hairdresser uses in their salon, and she’s always persuading me to get my roots done professionally as it’s less harsh and minimal hair fallout. But at £110 a pop per visit, it’s doesn’t sound too cost efficient, especially as it’s only the roots I wanted done. So when I saw this online, I did some research on what I needed and put together a kit (developer, good shampoo for coloured hair, mixing bowls etc). It’s easy once you know what to do and obviously did an allergy test first (negative for me) as you should do for all new dyes. The first time I used it, on washing I probably got less than 5 hairs falling out, substantially less than the 100 with consumer brands. The colour was good, much softer and natural (this dye is billed as natural so spot on) and lasted around 6 weeks. So much better all round. I get about 4 treatments out per tube as I’m only doing my roots. I am so pleased with the result that I’m on my 2nd tube.The reviews on here tend to be mostly for the incorrect product delivered or allergy. The latter I can help with, as you should be doing this in any case and it shouldn’t result in you placing a negative review if you are allergic. The possibility of allergy is actually claimed on the product. If you want your money back, you can try contacting the seller and if no luck there, the manufacturer as a last resort. The manufacturer should give you the refund according to UK consumer laws.

Made my skin red. Dont buy. Avoid.

I bought this product to cover my hair which has been treated a lot admittedly. I was jet black, I colour stripped which went red, I then bleached and it went orange. I covered with an ash dye for another brand and it was really reddy brown. This had great reviews so I decided to go for light brown ash, and after ten minutes on my hair I could see it was going black. I washed off and I am very happy with how its covered the red, and actually I really like the colour, but it's very dark and definitely not light brown as you can see. Sure, my treated hair would have absorbed the dye very fast, but even after ten minutes ypu wouldn't expect it to be this dark. Luckily for me I wasn't dead set on being light brunette I just wanted to get the black dye out, but wanted to warn others who buy this dye to go for a much lighter shade than what you're hoping for!
