The sirio 827 base antenna is one of the most respected antennas around. High performance comes as standard and the 827 will let you transmit much further than most conventional antennas, the build quality is superb, will give many years of serviceand ideal also for amateur use on the very popular 10m (28mhz) band too. The most modern technology and the most advanced instruments have been used for realization of sirio 827, the new base antenna with remarkable characteristics. I is made of silicium magnesium aluminum tubes of big dimensions drawn and cemented on the surface to get the maximum strength of the main whip. The coil, made of enameled copper wire of big section, has been specially planned in order to bear high powers. It adopts the exclusive system c.a.c.s. (coil auto-cooling system) which allows the auto-cooling by a finned support that keeps the coil hanging up allowing the air circulation. 3/4 base station antenna tunable from 27 to 28.5 mhz. Made of telescopic anti-corodal aluminum tubes. Its long and robust whip allows perfect performances and very good connections at distances too.

AWESOME
I went from everyone's favorite Antron 99 to this. WOW!!! What a difference. The best way I can describe it is like going from cassette to CD. The receive is night and day better. The transmissions are also a night and day difference. I swear with my Antron I went up and down my roof taking it down, adjusting those dumb rings, and putting it back up, no less than 20x with absolutely no improvement to my 2.0-2.5 SWR. When I got the sirio, I followed the instructions on setting the stinger for my setup (it's easy), and my SWR was 1.3 across the entire band on my first attempt. I didn't even zip tie the coax to the mast because I figured I'd have to adjust it at least a couple times before the SWR was acceptable.......nope. I set it according to the instructions and bam...... perfect. I can't recommend this thing enough. You also feel the quality immediately. Just get it, it's awesome.

Seems like a solid buy. Holds up with the included hardware.
I'd been wanting a base antenna for years and finally decided to just order one. I wanted something that wasn't the cheapest on the market and had decent reviews so I went with the Siri 827. I have no experience with more popular choices like Antron 99, Imax 2000, or Maco V, etc... I only have this thing 10 feet off of the ground and I have made contacts on 38 LSB in Texas, California, etc... from Iowa. And I'm only using cheap RG8X (thin) coax. It just held up to a wind storm last night with wind gusts to 70mph.The hardware that comes with the antenna is good quality but the screws for the whip are tiny. I can see why people cut a slit in the sections with a rotary tool and use a stainless steel hose clamp to hold those parts together. It only takes me a few minutes to get at the antenna in my situation so I don't mind seeing how long the included hardware holds up. The antenna is well made and looks like a nice commercial product. So far I am happy with it. I wish it was higher in the air, but I live in the middle of a nice part of a city, so that's that.I bought the plastic ring that stabilizes the ground radials so that the wind doesn't vibrate them loose. I recommend that addition to your budget because it seems like a good idea.

Best ground plane antenna I have ever owned!
Liked the easy instructions and measurements for all areas of the band. Very little noise and great reports on my sound!

Exceptional quality
Very high-quality antenna that was easy to assemble, easy to install. Looks like it should last for many years.SWR 1:1 on 10 m band.

Great antenna on rx/tx. 10/11/12m with a lil antenna tuner👍
Just be careful installing this beast. Mine was on a foldover mast....b4 I cud tip it up, it fell off a step ladder and damaged the ground radials. But, service was great. I think I have 2 replacements ,coming in the mail?

Sturdy, Easy to Assemble and Easy to Install
Overall I like the design of this antenna and given the nature of weather on the central plains of the U.S. it meets the minimum standard for strength and durability. I do have doubts about the brackets used to secure the mast to the antenna as these don't appear as rugged as I would prefer. All elements and fasteners were included in the box, no missing parts.
