Complementary and Alternative Therapies for Nursing Practice (4th Edition)

We used this as a text in our alternative nursing class. I really enjoyed reading it, and it was really insightful. I do love that it included examples of research for each subject covered.

I ordered this book for a college course and loved it! It contains a little bit of everything on various alternative therapies. You will learn about guided imagery, animal assisted therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, aromatherapy, and more. Each chapter gives you a description of the topic, its history as well as current scientific research and evidence. If you are interested the world of alternative therapy, I recommend this book.

I really enjoyed reading about various CAM modalities. This was an assigned course book that I rented but in retrospect I wish I bought it.

I love the fact that Western medicine is taking the blinders off and realizing that different therapies that have worked for thousands of years are finially being used in this country. Our AMA only considers something worth while if it makes them lots of money and NOT what is best for the client!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered Complimentary & Alternative Therapies "for Nursing Practice", 4th edition. I received Complimentary & Alternative Therapies "in Nursing", 7th edition. Totally different author!
