Best double kickstand for the price. Nearly perfect IMO
I found this kickstand here on Amazon after searching for quite some time for the perfect kickstand. I made a custom e-bike for my wife that started life as a Giant Suede-e. This bike already had a solid double leg kickstand, but the suspension modification that I made changed the ride height and the motor weight changed the balance from front to back. With the old kickstand, the bike was prone to falling over with the slightest breeze. The problem was that the legs did not extend out far enough to the sides. Bending them more was a possibility, but that would make the legs protude out too far when tucked. This kickstand changes EVERYTHING.The fact that the legs articulate makes a world of difference. The bike looks great when the legs are tucked and it is rock solid when the legs are down!I tested it by leaning the bike over and then letting it tip back. A "bad" kickstand will let your bike's momentum carry itself right over the other side and tumble over. This kickstand leveled itself after a couple oscillations. I was amazed by how far I could push the bike and have it stabilize. The bike's weight might actually help it some in this area.I also put my 45 lb kid on the back of the bike rack with only the kickstand holding the bike up and it was very solid as well. I was not concerned about the bike falling over. The legs have this cool adjustment feature that takes literally seconds to change. You just twist the bottom of the leg and pull the spring loaded leg to your desired height. The spring pulls it back into one of many internal slots while also twisting it back to the locked position. It happens very fast and is very convenient. You could even adjust one really quickly to balance your bike on uneven ground if necessary. One thing to think about is the plastic legs. The seem fairly durable, but they will wear down if not cared for. I will keep an eye on them and update my review in 6 months (December 2013)Right now, I can't recommend this kickstand enough. Buy it and be happy.

Lifesaver for me
Well designed and solid productI ride my bike with a lot of weight on my back wheel ( panniers , bags ) so the bicycle is top heavy and very easy to fall over - so I needed a solution - I've found it in this stand - for me it absolutely works great - it's wide stance assures there is no more tipping overAnother great feature of this stand is that the lengths of the legs are separately adjustable ( easy twist and pull ) - this is a lifesaver when parking on an uneven pavementCouple of points to notice1) make sure that the mounting mechanism will fit your bike2) after some use it is good to grease the moving parts ( I even disassemble the legs - using a little hex wrench - and grease it inside to make them work smoothly )For me personally - this is the best stand on the market - since I got this I never had any tipovers any moreIf it fits your bike and you are carrying high mounted loads - I highly recommend this stand !!!

Great dual kickstand for bike with child seat on back!
Overall, this is a great dual kickstand. My reason for purchase was to support my mountain bike while my 1 year old was seated in the child seat installed on the rear of my bike. The first dual kickstand I bought was a praised one called a "Pletscher Two-Leg Kickstand 320mm Black." Well, that one was a big disappointment. It was WAY TOO TALL for my mountain bike. It made either my front tire or bike tire lift about 5 inches of the ground. If I attempted to place by child in the seat it would fall over; exactly like the generic kickstand the bike came with. So, I was on the hunt again, for a good dual kickstand. This one, without a doubt, is very good. Being adjustable is a major plus. Being able to turn the feet of each of the dual kickstands is also a plus. When in the down (deployed) position, my front tire is off the ground about 1 inch (not 5 like the other). Since I was able to potion the feet and height of this dual kickstand, it is very stable. Put to the test: the bike will not fall when my child is in it... even if I move it side to side. M-Wave is great for me.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is due to it touching my rear tire slightly when in the closed position. I think it's mainly because my rim is not 100% straight. It only touches about 5% (not the entire time).I would recommend this to anyone with a rear child seat!!

Finally looks like I found a fit for purpose bike stand - read on to prevent installation mistakes - no instructions.
After my old single kickstand broke under the strain of a heavy load, I was on the hunt for a stand that would be strong enough to support an e-bike loaded with shopping in the front and back. The old single kickstand was strong and able to support the bike but struggled if I had shopping and more often than not I had to support it up a wall in order to unload the bike with two hands without it falling over. Like another reviewer my last experience with a double kickstand caused problems because it raised the front or rear wheel off the ground and effectively took away that support which put extra strain on the kickstand. This combined with a wide angle legs which got in he way of my peddling put strain on the unit and it started to go too far and the worn central mechanism no longer guaranteed to support the bike. £20 is a lot of money for a stand that will only work in a was that would eventually after a month or two require replacement. Scrolling through the kickstands available on Amazon. I spotted this one primarily because it had adjustable leg height which can be individually set. In the pictures as well as description it looked very sturdy and wide enough to support the bike without getting in the way while riding. OK, what's the catch because it looked perfect for what I wanted. I placed the order and with prime it was delivered the next day/. WARNING. I found what was wrong straight away. It did not come with any installation or operation instruction which I feel would have gone a long way in preventing problems installing and using the kickstand. Not knowing that the adjustable mechanism was a very easy and solid spring mechanism whereby you just twist the leg adjust the height and allow the leg to sprig back into a locked position. not having instructions I thought i needed to unscrew the screws on the side to adjust the height. Of course when I did this I ended up pulling the leg off and spent the next hour being careful to put the spring back on and slide the leg up and tighten the screw back again to it's original state. Obviously, during this time I realized just how simple it was to adjust the height of each leg by simple turning the leg around then adjusting the height which when the screw is tightened properly will not allow you to extend it beyond a certain and prevents the leg falling off. My attempts to put the plastic leg back on to the metal frame also showed me that this was not just cheap plastic but a very well shapped and strong pastic leg that would also protect the stand from any water damage such as rust caused by using your stand in wet conditions and standing in puddles or wet grass. I really really love this stand. because it also moves inward when you kick it up so I don't hit it when I'm peddling and it sits comfortably near the rear wheel bits without getting in the way of the chain or gear derailleur. If I knew it did this as well as having the easy spring loaded height adjustment, I would not have hesitated in ordering nor would I have waisted an hour during installation if i had instructions. Took one star away for this even though the stand is worth the full 5 stars. Of course time will tell if this is going to do what it is supposed to do in different surfaces and inclines over the next few months. I wll come back and add to this review if I don't need to buy another stand in six months time. So far I can say I have found for a very good price a very well designed and assembled using high quality material a bike stand that is more than fit for purpose as opposed to the "it will do" types from the past.

Well made and look good
Purchased for two for our electric bikes, they weigh 25kg each, these stands work well, easy to fit, look good and hold these not so light bikes fine. Pleased to find strong support for not so light bikes

An excellent stand slightly let down by lack of installation instructions
I bought this stand to replace a similar-looking one I had got from Halfords. The Halfords one isn't at all bad, but this one is significantly better. It has a simple but clever mechanism which brings the legs a bit closer together then the stand is retracted and spreads them out about (no sniggering, please) when the stand is put down. As a result, the legs tuck in very neatly - just about parallel with the rear fork - when cycling but are wide enough to provide excellent stability when supporting the bike. In both of these respects, this stand is better than the Halfords version, which is just a fixed width. This stand also has "feet" that extend out a little from the bottoms of the legs (as feet do!), improving stability even further. So why my complaint about lack of instructions? You might be tempted to think that there is nothing to know about it other than to bolt it to the bike, and you would be mostly right. What isn't completely obvious, though, is that there is a sprung height-adjustment mechanism in the plastic "boots". To adjust the height of the stand, you can twist each boot (against an internal spring) and move it up or down. The spring will then latch the boot at the selected height. It wasn't completely obvious to me that this was the case until I took out the set-screw and the whole mechanism came apart. I got it back together without too much trouble, but it was only by inadvertently taking it all apart that I figured out what what was going on, and this is where instructions would have been helpful. The complaint is a minor one...I'm very pleased with this stand and am happy to recommend it.

Great
Got it installed pretty easy, tho the hex key is a larger size than I had to hand.It fits the bike nicely, and keeps it upright. It is easy to move between down and up, and easy to adjust the height of the legs.Great for getting little one into her bike seat and off again. Also great for if I have work to do on the bike, too.Overall, much better than the side stand my bike came with.
