I put the tool away, but when I noticed a white object near my tonsils, I took it out to give it another try. After gargling and using other methods with no success, I used the remover tool and it worked like magic! The trick, I think, is to push near the stone (not directly on it) and that dislodges it. And, you have to desensitized the throat if you tend to choke by slowly moving the tool near the area you want to treat. Such a relief to get the stone out. ### ⭐ Don't buy it *by D***S on April 27, 2015* Absolute crap in every way. Dim bulb, non-changeable battery as far as I can tell, and extremely poorly molded and manufactured. I didn't feel safe holding the thing let alone putting it near my mouth. Here's the real way to get rid of tonsil stones: Use a plastic syringe in one hand and a nice bright LED flashlight in the other. Go in front of the mirror and shine the flashlight into your throat. Spray your tonsils/tonsilur crypts with a jet of water from the syringe to knock out and flush out your tonsil stones. Rinse and gargle.
