**Q: Is This Gluten Free?**
A: By definition rice is gluten free

**Q: On the back of the pack it has cooking instructions that conflict.  Once it says 7.5 water to 3 rice in another it says 1 1/4 water to 1 rice?**
A: I find that 1 c rice to 1-2/3 c water usually results in a firm but not hard cooked rice. Combine cold water w/ rinsed rice, bring to slow boil, then reduce heat and simmer, covered for 25-35 minutes or until water is absorbed. Have never been able to get more water to absorb and had to drain excess after cooking if I used more water. Rice ends up firm and "nutty", but the texture is one of my favorite qualities about red rice. Great flavor as well.

A: It is similar to brown rice.
