I finally cut the opening a little bit bigger and now it leaks and drips constantly. to the point where I hike with my cammelbak in my backpack and I have to strap the hose facing up on my backpack chest strap. i would drink out of it, then i have to pinch the valve and raise the hose over my head (like a total dork) to drain the hose before placing it face up on my chest strap. Otherwise it leaks even when it faces up! I got replacement valves because the orginal fell off of my backpack and splashed water all over me. the last time it did that, it happen on a multipitch rock climbing route and the valve was gone! tumbled down the rocks and disappeared and the hose sprayed water all over my legs and rock as I was setting up a rappel. after the replacement valve fail, I gave up and went with Platypus brand hydration bladder and it's so so so much better! ### ⭐ These Chinese knockoffs are junk! *by J***0 on June 29, 2018* Absolutely NOT the same as genuine Camelbak. Very low flow, if any, and they're thick and hard to bite. Pitched mine and ordered the genuine article. I strongly suggest that you go with the Camelbak-brand valves to begin with. I wasted ten bucks on this learning experience.Oh well... ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not as good as original *by J***S on June 3, 2018* Have a hard time getting water out of this valve, opening is not as big as standard.
