Jelly Babies are the candies those who are in the know want people not to know! These are the perfect jelly gummy candies. They have a bite to them and they are soft and chewy. Perfect flavor and sweetness and unlike any other candy. The seller gave us a total number of ounces just slightly more than advertised — no complaints! Also, shipping was faster than expected. Thank you!

While watching Classic Doctor Who. I realized that I needed to try the famous Jelly Babies. They are just as I expected and very good! They have that powdered sugar coating to keep them from sticking together, which also adds a little extra to the sweet. I love that they are naturally colored and flavored! No dyes or weird chemicals.

I'm not sure if the horrible taste is due to expiration (the date says 01 05 2026, so not sure if this is May 1st or January 5th). But this candy is disgusting, it is covered with this white powder that could be powdered sugar but actually tastes more like flour. The candy is flavorless and bland.

These are a jelly type candy with a nice soft bite, not super chewy like gummy bears. They also have a powdery coating on the outside. I think during the manufacturing process, just after they've been molded and are still sticky/wet, they are coated in a corn starch/powdered sugar substance. Some of the powder is absorbed and combines with the jelly to make a thin crust or outer coating that is texturally different from the rest of the baby. For some reason, I find this textural difference and the flavors irresistible. I'm not sure when I had these for the first time. I think it was at Ikea. Now, every time I go to the mall I get these at Lolly and Pops, but they are soooo expensive. These are much better priced! I'm addicted.

Got my first order today. I say first because I know I will be buying more. I had read the reviews and decided I had to try them. If you’re expecting a gummy bear you’d be wrong. I say the texture is a mixture of wine gum ( which bassets also makes) on the outside and when you bite into it,it’s similar to Turkish delight. Juicy and delicious. And they have black currant flavor which is one of my favorites. :) Shipping was much faster than I expected given where they ship from and it was right around the holidays. When you’re buying from overseas you have to keep in mind they can be delayed due to many factors. I’d say cost was acceptable considering it shipped from Ireland. I’ll definitely be purchasing again.

My friends and I were talking about these and Dr Who, which I watched years ago. My friend still watches it. Very soft. Love them.
