Good Product! It’s not your plastic $180 fan. But it’s FAR SUPERIOR to your $27 junk options.
If you have the $ I recommend ACinfinity cloudline series fans or iPowers higher quality line as they are much quieter & come w/ controls that turn on/off per your settings or through Wi-Fi and/or app. This fan is middle of the line iPower Fan, do not go with their lower priced fans. Go with this or the higher priced fans. It’s incredibly well-built in my opinion, very powerful, and easy to install. For the money, it’s a great product. I would absolutely recommend this. Keep in mind the noise is a little bit louder than you will expect, but there’s no rattle like the junk fans, it’s a very steady sound, but to illuminate that noise you need to step in to the $90-$169 range fans by Ipower or ACinfinity. All or any of these inline fans can be used w/ Inkbird Temperature controllers to turn on/off at your set temp by inserting a probe into your supply line if using for HVAC. One Inkbird controls up to 2 fans. Use flex ducting or insulated flex duct to minimize noise travel through tin hvac lines!

Powerful but Loud
I had hoped to used this as a booster in a furnace duct to help better heat a cold room, but for this purpose it is much too loud. I imagine it would be acceptable if used as an exhaust fan for something like a bathroom or stove top vent, but it's far too annoying for the purpose I had imagined. For the money it seems very well built, and if it was used somewhere noise wasn't a concern it would probably work well.

An excellent duct fan.
This fan was a Godsend for me because I have been looking for a balance between small size, light weight, high temperature tolerance and good price. The items I described there are any HVAC designer's wet dream! The fan's housing is a lot more robust than I thought it would be. The fan itself looks to be very well constructed and the airflow was pleasantly strong. From my experiments (not detailed but enough to satisfy me) the fan moves the amount of air advertised. In my installation it vents a layer of hot air that I purposefully route to a heat trap at the top of a concrete room. I rely on this fan to ACTIVELY suck this hot air in an almost parallel (6 inch decline difference across 8 ft) exit situation. The fan performs wonderfully! I will definitely buy this fan again for any project. I run it for short periods (a couple of minutes at most) as it is so efficient it clears 100 + cubic ft of air in no time flat!

Keeps my upstairs cool.
I used these along with a relay to boost my airflow to my upstairs room. I don't have a way to measure how much airflow they provide but it felt about double what I was getting before. My upstairs bedroom went from unbearably hot in the summer to comfortable. There is some noise with them, but its not much and you really only notice it when there's literally no other noise. Definitely quieter than a standing fan in a bedroom. Both have been working for about 3 weeks.**Two years of almost continuous use (I leave the fan on to circulate air even when the heat/AC isn't on) and one started making a terrible noise and smelled like hot electronics. I turned them both off and will be replacing them. I'm sure they'll last longer if they aren't used 24/7 365. They worked great for 2 years though!

Well built and powerful. 5 stars
Very well built powerful fan. I ordered 2 and I’m going to order two more. They are a little noisy but I don’t see how that could be fixed. I was having trouble getting heat to my upstairs bathroom. This fixed the problem in a few minutes. Now my wife can shower upstairs in the winter. I hooked them up to a smart plug so I can turn them on and off without having to go in the basement and unplug.

Few problems. Please READ!!
1- Variable speed fan control will not work with this fan.2- Duct vent collar/duct transition to another pipe it should be tapered to fit. This has the same size on both ends. Made it very difficult to work with. Either you cut and bend it to fit otherwise it won't.. Same size BOTH ENDS. Poor design.3- After 10 days of on and off... Stopped working or I thought.. Took the fan off and I found out the fan steel blade, washer and the nut were off the motor.. The motor just spins. So I had to put that back together to find out the actual mounting guide for the fan is PLASTIC.. Ugh.. with some heat this thing will be done for.I mean the fan GUIDE/stability is plastic plate. The shaft goes into this plastic plate with notches on it so the STEEL fan sits on. Fan blades connects to this plastic plate with a washer and a nut.4- I had to oil it already within 3 weeks due to loud noise when it starts. I believe the bearing is going out. It ran perfect for a short while.I am beating myself up a little.. I had to take this fan multiple times in less than 1 month. I wish I got the little more expensive that even comes with variable speed/ Not that I am going to use their variable speed but I have my own and I can have the 2nd one as a backup. Also quality was really an issue. As I stated above the size of both ends were the SAME..

Using for attic fan.
Using it as an intake fan for the Attic. It works fine but a little bit noisy. Plan on rapping bubble reflective installation around it to deaden the noise. Hopefully that will work. Purchasing it on Amazon was cheaper than going to home Depot or Lowe's.

Good value, works as advertised.
I don’t have a good “seat of the pants” sense of the actual airflow compared to advertised, but it definitely moves air pretty well. I installed this inline of my second bedroom supply duct (flex), at full speed it’s a little too loud in the duct (you can hear it in the room), so I used an iPower speed switch and reduced it to about 80%. It still moves a fair amount of air with less noise. It’s only been two days with no extreme weather so it is difficult to know just how effective it will prove to be, but so far since installing it the room is typically within 1 degree of the rest of the house, which is rather good. Time will tell
