I have always wanted a scarf but I had never found the one I really wanted. When I checked here on Amazon and found this one I knew this was the one. I wasn't sure if it would be worth the cost but since it was so cheap I couldn't resist buying it. It shipped out two days after I confirmed my order and came in a few days later.When I got the package I opened it and there it was. It did have that "new" fabric smell but after a wash it was gone. I wear it all the time and get many compliments on it. For those people out there who say all the bad reviews about it, you're wrong. It was well worth the cost and definitely a nice scarf. I also like the fact that I can wear it on hot days and my neck not get so hot.Overall I do give this 5 out of 5. It was amazing and now I have that scarf I have always been wanting.

I had some explaining to do when my wife found this in the laundry, lol. She said, "I found this..." I said, "There should be 2 of them--one for me and one for you." That really got the conversation going... ***disclaimer*** I am not a paid salesman for "Build The Perfect Bug Out Bag", but I will accept donations... On pages 60-61, the author talks about the basic uses for the shemagh. Just learning how to pronounce "shemagh" is a good first step. Regardless, this seems to be a very handy piece of clothing so far. It's like a big, thin (yet strong) handkerchief. Dimensions are roughly 40" x 40". I ran both cloths with a full load of clothes thru the washing machine on cold/cold to see how they would hold up. Everything seems to be fine, and the material is pretty soft and supple. I haven't used mine out in the field yet, but I did wear it on my head (after my wife showed me how) and around my face, and it felt fine. I imagine it will still be comfortable. I had seen similar items before, but I couldn't imagine myself wearing one. If a survival situation should ever arise, I'm glad I have one. I paid about $6 each with Amazon Prime.

This scarf is beautiful and a little more subtle than the original Arafat scarfs. The fabric is a little lighter, making it fit to wear indoors, and the tassels are a little shorter than stated. The only con I have found is that when you get it out of the package the odor is so strong you can barely breath!!! I washed it immediately and threw it in the dryer, and to my surprise it came out smelling fresh and the fabric is softer now.I got one for my friend too, so I'll be nice and wash it before I give it to her!

while looking for choices in scarfs I happened to come across these ones,after reading many reviews most good some negative I decided to place the order for one to start with.These scarfs are so much nicer in person the colors are brighter than what I saw in the picture ,this scarf is big enough so that you could wear this many different ways.I read some reviews that said they had a bad smell to them ,that's why I said I ordered just one to see for myself and to be honest mine had no smell ,I washed it anyway as I always do when I buy new clothing and for the price I couldn't believe how well this scarf was made .Its held together fine.Now that I see for myself that theres no flaws with this I am gonna buy more in different colors for Christmas gifts .Think anyone who buys these will be surprised just how nice they really are.

I honestly don't have a single bad thing to say about this item. It is a thicker and more solid fabric than I was expecting for the price and based on others reviews. However, I can assure you that this is a great scarf. Exactly like the picture shows, very comfortable and cozy. I also noted some other reviews mentioning something about a strong factory smell, but I don't have a trace of that on mine. I will definitely be buying these again, they would make great gifts as well.

I got this shemagh after I started building my bug out bag, because someone suggested having one handy. Little did I know! I have worn it almost every day since purchasing it, and it is useful in many aspects. For you airsofter/milsim guys, this one is probably not the one you're looking for; It is made like the old style of shemagh and is somewhat thin, and not very resistant. It is somewhat easily snagged and the threads are visibly woven a bit loosely. For some of you wanting a lightweight, decent shemagh, this one is pretty great, it isn't too hot, can keep you warm (or cool) and has a large area so it covers alot of space (duh). Overall I love it, and it makes a great gift in my opinion as well.Hope this review helps.

It's not a BAD scarf at all but it's thicker then I expected. Color is great and the look is nice but it's a little to heavy for my personal liking. There was a strange warehouse smell but that goes away once you wash it. I do recommend washing before wearing though. Washes well in the washer I lined dried it though.

I was nervous because a lot of people said it smelled or the strings were falling out of place or there was dye everywhere.Nothing of the sort. My problem is with the color: I ordered black and purple, but the color was more red than purple?I like it but I was hoping for a different shade :/Overall, it's pretty large, nice and warm and is pretty good considering the price.

They call this a shemagh but I don't know what this is ,very small and came out of the wash in bad shape. I will not buy another one that's for sure.

Correspond a la photo, que ce soit pour la forme et les couleurs. Un tissu un peu fin, qui aurait pu être de meilleure qualité.

Tissu très fin, couleur plutôt foncée, pas de très bonne qualité mais vaut bien son prix. Attention à ne pas forcer, les fils n'ont pas l'air très solide.
