I. Love. This. Hat!I got this to use on the beach, including in the tropical sun and during motorboat rides (think, windy hat-flying weather). This is an excellent hat. Well made, sturdy but not too sturdy. Holds its shape without being rigid. The strap (removable) can be fastened tightly under the chin or left long enough for the hat to hang off on the nape of your neck if you want it to. It gave me sufficient protection from the sun so my face did not get ANY sunburn, not even in the hot tropics, and it was easy to pack away (roll it and you're done). It got wet. It got dry. No issues whatsoever. I'm very pleased.

Nice hat but it’s not really collapsible in my opinion. It came folded and I kept trying to fix the 4 folds around it, but no luck. If I put it on me, the shape looks weird because of the folds. I will ask the seller to find out how to fix it. But my advice would be, if you bring it to your travels, don’t fold it and just wear it on the whole time to not destroy its shape.

It seems well made, and the wired edge allows for shaping. The bow is attached well, and it fits snuggly without use of the sizing straps concealed in the band. For someone with lots of hair, like me, adjustments aren't needed to keep it seated properly. My only disappointment is due to the depth of the brim. I had expected a proportions for the crown and brim, becsuse the picture makes it seem so deep, but the model's hair is relatively flat and lacks body and wavy curls As my long, wavy hair and curls take up most of the brims distance, and there isn't much brim extending past them. Frankly, I'd like it to extend farther, therefore, I don't find it very flattering, but its functional and my need of it is making me keep it. I will continue to look for a more flattering replacement. Its brim is about two inches shorter than desired .

Mixed feelings about this hat. It came with creases which were hard to get out. I also lost the chin band before I could set it up (it comes loosely attached in a baggie). This was a bummer and I had to jerry-rig a solution. It does provide a nice amount of coverage all around and kept me from burning, but it is a bit too floppy and doesn't hold its shape well. This is, of course, a tradeoff with packability. It got soaked in a rainstorm and seemed OK afterwards (i.e. no shabbier looking than before). In a way, it does its job, but it's not a very attractive hat.

Love this hat. I ironed out the creases and it is so nice looking. I attached the under neck strap and it stays on just fine.

This hat is a touch tight if you have a larger head; by the same token it is appropriately snug re wind. The straw type construction is certainly breatheble but not the most comfortable. As someone who carries my face weight directly under my chin, it is not flattering at all. It certainly has value for money but I meant to return it and forgot by the deadline.

The hat is attractive. However, the chin strap is not at all as advertised. The chin strap doesn't clip to loops inside hat. There are no loops. The chin strap has metal ends that must be pushed through the hat from the inside of the hat to the outside of the hat. Disappointing, as the silver metal ends are visible on the exterior of the hat.
