The Art of Solo Fingerpicking - 30th Anniversary Edition: How to Play Alternating-Bass Fingerstyle Guitar Solos

Solidly Intermediate & AWESOME.
These tunes - a mix of gorgeous Hanson composition and traditional fingerstyle fare -- as presented by Mark Hanson will bump you up a couple of levels, unless you're already quite advanced. Even advanced players will benefit by adding these arrangements to their repertoires. I love the way the tab is written: "thumb" picked notes are boldface; finger-picked notes are in a lighter typeface. Just a glance tells you which notes are which, and this is a superb improvement to traditional tab. Great book, great audio examples (download them.) Get this and go to work!

Disappointing
This book is very elementary. Also the songs are unfamiliar. Not much of a motivator for learning. I returned it.

good book
like many books, kind of hard to translate to practical stuff. Lots of good tips however. Glad I bought it.

The best tuition book for guitar I’ve ever had
As a strictly electric player for over 30 years, acoustic finger style baffled me.This explains it beautifully. But is NOT for the beginner. If you know your chords and play lead electric you will manage this- but it takes work & a long time! But immensely rewarding & great fun.I’m playing lines I NEVER thought I could.
