INTEX 26643EG SX1500 Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump for Above Ground Pools, 10in

I don’t usually write reviews but felt this warranted one. If you have an above ground pool you need this. This is our third summer with our pool and our first summer with this filter. It was so hard to maintain the pool in the past with the A/C filters that you remove and rinse. It would take a week(s) to make a green pool clean and clear. This sand filter works so well and not only does the water flow faster it is also a more powerful stream. The filter doesn’t take up much space and is very easy to use. We hadn’t swam in the pool all week and I forgot to add a new chlorine tab so it was starting to turn green. I put in chlorine, algaecide and clarifier and the filter had it clear in less than two days. Very impressed with the quality and price. It didn’t cost much more than it would have cost to replace the old tiny filter that came with the pool. I have faith it will last for many years!

Works great. I bought this pump for my 18x46 above ground pool. I replaced the original pump that came with the pool. A cartilage filter. The sand filter is easy to use. Saves on buying and replacing filters. You do have to purchase the sand separately but it’s not bad. The pump cleans better than the original pump. I’m satisfied with this purchase. I recommend watching YouTube videos to learn how to operate the pump. Since it requires backwashing and other operations

We love this! One of the best purchases to upgrade our pool. Keeps our pool clean and the size it perfect for our 6000 gallon pool size. Does get hot during day but ours is sitting in direct sunlight all day long. We keep it going probably 20 hours a day and it has worked perfect. No problems at all. Filled with sand and has been going since. Has lots of options on it which helps keep water clean. Instructions are super easy and install was quick. Doesn’t disappoint. Just get it. Makes it super easy and powerful.

I looked up tons of reviews and different pump options trying to make my little pump that came with my 22x52 Coleman pool work I have bad well water and have spent tons of money on phosphate treatments metal removers etc... Everyone I know said if I upgrade to a sand pump it will change everything so I started looking into sand pumps I was reading the reviews on this one and it really gave me the dream of a blue pool in 3 days and it definitely did not disappoint I would recommend this pump to anybody and not even bother with those pumps that come with the pool well well worth the money! These pictures don't even show the exact because my camera is not that good but I definitely went from frustrated over two weeks of trying to get my pool up and going I bought this pump and in three days as the other reviews say definitely cleared my water! For the first time I went to pinch a Penny to get my water sample and all I needed was chlorine whereas before as I mentioned I had to purchase this and that every single time I went they had me putting in tons of acid phosphate remover metals remover this pump definitely changed everything I would most definitely recommend it's easier to maintain when it's time to clean the filter you simply back wash it after the first three days I left it running 24 hours after that I run at 8 hours I had to backwash it a total of 2 to 3 times it's been about a week and it's still showing no backwash needed it has an automated timer I no longer have to come and turn the pump on and off it does it by itself I haven't had it for that long but I definitely feel it's a quality pump it seems pretty durable and the pressure coming out is way more than what came with the pool!

This thing is an absolute workhorse. I've been running this year round on our stock tank pool / hot tub. It is plugged into a temp controller that turns it on when the temperature falls below my set point (there is a uceder heater inline on the output). I mention this because I'm running 104 degree water through it in the winter, 85 in the summer, and it's on/off all the time. We have summer ambient air temps of 100+ in the summer and below zero in the winter. It is located under the deck. It just runs in all of these conditions and keeps running. This is good bang for the buck. I bought a second one as a backup but the first is still running (on it's 4th season)

This Intex 3,000 GPH pump and filter has been a total upgrade for our above ground pool. It moves a ton of water and keeps the pool sparkling clean with very little effort. Replaced the cartridge filter that came with my Coleman Steel 18' above ground pool- and so glad we did! This is a power horse. We have had a crystal clear pool so far all summer. Easy settup and went to work right away. The only issue I had was my base came cracked in the box. Other than that we are pleased with our purchase.

Great Sand Filter Pump!The 18'x42' Coleman pool I have did not have a great filter pump. The pump that came with the pool was too small for keeping 7,000 gallons of water clean and the chemicals balanced. I needed more flow to keep the water circulating.The pump I just installed has a timer, recirculate feature, backwash, rinse and filter. It’s easy to install and I think it’s priced well too.I’ve had a good summer, with less work needed in my pool care. The water flows a lot better, is crystal clear, and it’s easier to keep the chemicals in balance. I haven’t had any issues with water getting stagnant or algae.Also when putting the sand in for the first time, add half the sand and wet in so it settles then fill with the rest of the sand to fill line and wet again, check to see if it's at least at the fill line, if not you'll need to add more.
