Great Little Tripod
Most importantly, this is a rigid compact tripod, very well suited to traveling or hiking, and strong enough for most studio use if you like. It's a very nice piece of equipment. The description says that it also functions as a monopod. I don't think this tripod has that function, not that I planned to use it anyway. It is not mentioned in the instructions, and if one leg unscrews to mate with the center column, it takes a stronger man than I to undo it.In general, quick release plates cause more problems than they solve. One of those problems is that if you have more than one tripod and more than one camera, the plates must be compatible with both tripods. My tripod heads are standardized on 50mm plates, which require a small bit of modification to work with this tripod. At first, I just unscrewed the supplied head, and put a different one on the standard 3/8" screw. It works, but that head is larger, so I ended up not liking that solution. My solution was to remove the two small cap screws on the bottom of a couple of my 50mm plates. The heads of these screws are designed to engage loosely with indentations on the head, to prevent the camera from sliding off if the plate is not cinched down properly. This tripod uses a retracting pin for that function, and does not have those indentations. The jaw on the head is designed for the slightly smaller plate that is supplied with the tripod. However, with the cap screws removed from the bottom of the 50mm plate, the plate just barely fits and all is well.

Good Tripod, silly compromises
If you’re looking for a light, strong, tripod, you’ve found a great option -but, we both know I didn’t give it 4 stars because it’s perfect. There are a lot of little issues with this little tripod that show the designers just didn’t think about how a person would actually want to use it. Probably the worst offence is that it does not close up properly with the quick release plate attached.Speaking of the quick release plate, you should know that the mechanism for holding it in place is not the “double lock” kind. In fact, you’d be troubled to call it a true single lock. If you’ve ever had a $20 flash stand, you’re probably familiar with the experience for attaching your camera to this tripod. It’s going to be held in place on two sides, and then screw-tightened in to place with a knob on the side. While this works, it doesn’t leave me with a resounding feeling of quality, and you have to have some fear that your expensive camera is going to slide off one day.The build quality of this tripod is astounding! The compact size that it can fold down to is just outright impressive. I really appreciate that they thought to include a hook that you can hang your bag for added weight and stability. While It would be nice if you could adjust the height of the center column, I see this as a worth wile tradeoff for added stability.Overall, I’m happy with this tripod, but I do wish that more thought had been put in to the mechanism for attaching your camera to it. For the price, and given that it’s made of carbon fiber I would gladly buy again.

Sturdy and does the job!
There's so much to like about this and I wanted to give it 5 stars. The tripod is sturdy and easy to adjust. The ball head makes changing the camera angle quick and easy. I also love that you can use it as a monopoly. But therein lies the problem. The directions aren't clear and it took some time with both me and my husband working on it to figure out how to get the monopod. When we figured it out, it was too short to be useful. I used a tip from another reviewer which worked great, but I have not been able to get it all back together the way it should be. The tripod is usable, but the hook for hanging things is not where it should be and the picture directions aren't useful. With clearer directions, this product would be a 5.

Best in its class
This VEO tripod clicks multiple boxes for anyone who, like me, was looking for something small, light and sturdy enough to support a mirrorless camera. I compared directly this VEO 2 235CB tripod with the Sirui T-02SK and the VEO won hands down. Both are very comparable in size and weight but the VEO has the advantage of having a movable center column that can also be removed and flipped to get the camera closer to the ground. In the VEO's box you will find leg spikes, which are easy to place and also includes a short head mount to place on the tripod if you want to remove the center column all together. When examined side by side, the VEO felt sturdier and better made than the Sirui. The mount plate of the VEO has a decent size and the ball-head feels grippy and precise.I don't know why this VEO tripod is not getting more attention. It is a great tripod that does many things well. I really recommend it for someone who wants to get a small and light tripod without compromising quality and sturdiness. After doing a lot fo research and trying a couple other brands I really believe that the VEO 2 GO 235CB is the best in its class.

Perfect for my spotting scope
Great tripod. Sturdy but still light weight enough to pack in long distances. A crucial part to a desert mule deer hunt is a stable platform for my spotting scope and this provided that.

Great tripod BUT-
I love this tripod as it is lightweight, portable and easy to use. However, when I was unboxing it somehow one of the rubber ends on a foot popped off and I never found it. Can't find any replacements online and it didn't come with any extras. Without the rubber tip, that section has nothing to stop it from sliding up the length of the hollow legs and disappearing.

Outstanding travel tripod
Light, compact, sturdy and easy to use. It is a great tripod. Included ball-head is very good. Can be opened very fast. A lot of options to set the legs and the center column. Very well made, premium materials. Carrying bag is good but the cords are a joke, are going to fail with the minimum pull. Be careful, you do not want your CB tripod smashed to the ground due to a flimsy cord.

Not built that well....
The tripod head has come off easily after only 4 months of use. It's glued to the top pole and has popped off.Additionally, the top pole comes off easily when trying to extend, and when trying to put back in a very thin plastic peice broke off and now I cannot tighten the two pieces together. There is no option for returning this via amazon for some reason. Would not reccomend.
