If You've Got It, Haunt It (A Haunted Vintage Mystery)

A light mystery
I loved the ghost angle, it was a good reason to start investigating. I liked the characters well enough. I liked the cat, too. The mystery was pretty light and had a few twists.

Keeps you riveted from the first page to the last page Rose Pressey has done it again.
I am going to start this review with a confession. I am a Rosealoholic. I have been a fan of Rose's since the very first sentence I have ever read in one of her books. Rose is an amazing and talented author and when one of her books is released, I stop whatever I am reading and start her newest book. Each book is an adventure filled with characters I have grown to love. This book is no exception, her newest cast of characters are wonderful. Cookie, the heroine of the story owns a vintage clothing store. Her passion is so appealing that I find myself considering shopping for vintage clothing myself. Her friend Heather, though a little quirky is fun, her kitten Windsong is delightful and I can only hope that love is in the air in Cookie's next adventure with Detective Dylan Valentine. I also hope that Charlotte the ghost will appear in the next adventure as well. I truly don't know how Rose writes as quickly or as talented as she does but she somehow manages to write almost quickly enough to keep her fans satisfied. If you are a first time Rose Pressey reader you will not be disappointed and I can tell you that every book she has written is well written and will keep your attention to the very end. Rose has several different series out and I not only encourage you but outright, but I am telling you to go buy them all as they are all equally good. By the end of this book you will become a Rose Pressey fan too also affectionately known as Rosebuds. Well, it's quite late, as I mentioned before you can't put her books down, so I am going to catch some sleep. So stop reading reviews and buy the book already, you are wasting precious reading time. The only negative thing I can say about Rose's books is that they have an ending and we have to wait for her next book. If we thought it would get her to write faster, we would all take turns doing her chores so she could write faster. You're still here? Go buy the book and join the rest of us Rosebuds, a content group of Rose Pressey fans. Happy Reading

Fun story
This is a fun, light read. I haven't quite decided if I like it enough to continue the series or not as the story just suddenly ended without much wrap-up. I will purchase the second book but not sure if I will purchase after that one.

A Passion for Vintage Fashion is always in style
Cookie Chanel, the perfect name for a vintage clothing store owner. Cookie is the owner of It's Vintage Y'all, and is know in her small hometown as the one to talk to when it comes to vintage clothing. Cookie does not really want to be known as crazy, but she will be if anyone knows she is seeing and talking to the ghost of a prominent real estate agent who had recently been murdered. Add in a beautiful white cat who showed up out of nowhere, a best friend who likes the idea of a psychic cat and having a ghost hanging around, and throw in the new police officer in town who just happens to be a hunk and you have the recipe for an interesting and quirky book.I do not want to give away the story or any of the fun, so I will just say that this new style of Rose Pressey's has hit a home run. I cannot wait to read the second one in the series (which I have just purchased). Ms. Pressey's ability to turn this ofttimes over used theme into something modern and exciting is why I enjoy reading her books.Cookie Chanel is a good heroine and I cannot wait to read as Ms. Pressey continues to develop this character.

Realistic Paranormal Murder Mystery
Vintage clothing store owner, Cookie Chanel, finds herself befriending (without choice,) a murdered woman whose clothing she was purchasing at the Estate sale. Oops. What I liked about Cookie was that she is a true amateur. Doesn't know much about being a detective, nor has any inclination to become one.The murdered society woman really doesn't care if Cookie is professional or not...Cookie can see, hear, and talk with her...what more can a ghost ask for? Actually, a lot. Not only does Cookie have to deal with the incessant chatting and nagging of her 'new' friend, she has inherited from the street a psychic Cat. The cat, Wind Song, writes messages on Ouija boards, and also can use the Tarot deck to communicate. There is a likable police Detective who gives Cookie her dues when the culprit is apprehended. That was a good change also. This was a light, fun to read, cleverly presented romantic paranormal murder mystery. I will look for volume two.

Fashion to die for
Charlotte Meadows is not a happy woman. There are strange people in her home buying her clothes and no one is paying a bit of attention to her until Cookie Chanel from It's Vintage, Y'all comes to shop. It seems that only Cookie can see Charlotte. You see Charlotte was murdered in her home and is now a ghost who insists that Cookie must help her find her killer.Cookie is not at all pleased that Charlotte has selected her to find her killer. Cookie is a vintage fashionista not a detective and after reading some of the situations that Charlotte and Cookie get into, you can definitely see Cookie's point. There is one very delectable police detective in the character of Dylan Valentine. This is a cute, cozy mystery for those of us who love them.

Another win for Rose Pressey
Let's face it, Ms Pressey loves ghost stories. I love cozy ghost stories. So I bought this book with complete confidence since she has not failed me yet. The story is fun and engaging. I felt like slipping my arm through Cookie' s and doing the Laverne and Shirley dance. The book is full of fun tips on how to get rid of an unwanted ghost and teaches the reader about vintage clothing. The story takes place in Georgia so I wondered if Ms Pressey ever visited Little Five Points where they have a couple of vintage clothing stores. One, The Junkman' s Daughter has grown beyond the vintage clothes and now has a wide assortment of items from all eras. One thing for sure, if the book has Rose Pressey' s name on it, settle back with a snack and enjoy every word.

Not bad
This wasn't bad however I found it ended too abruptly. I don't want to give anything away so STOP READING NOW but after Cookie helped solve the murder of Charlotte I thought there would be at least a tearful goodbye as Charlotte 'moved I'm but it didn't even mention wether she did or not so im slightly disappointed about that, also I was waiting for the 'humour' element but didn't laugh once. It put an hour in and certainly isn't one of the worst books I've read but I don't think I will continue with this series.

Fun with fashion
Really enjoyed this book, fashion and ghosts what is not to love. I have the second on my wish list praying that the prices come down or will wait for my birthday and hint for it. Rosie has such a good writing style.

A vintage hit, y ‘all
What a great start to a story line , discovering you can see ghosts. A real nice twist to the ghost story genre is the vintage fashion aspect. I’m sure I can smell a romance coming up there too. Thankyou for a really enjoyable read

Funny
Coco and Charlotte work together even if one of them is a ghost. Throw in a physic cat who is adorable and you have an enjoyable put your feet up time.
