Review: Well made and sturdy - First impression before using: like many others have said this is my first “good” hacksaw, having used the $5 cheapies from the hardware store all my life. The Klein saw is well made, sturdy and a little heavier than the cheapies. The weight is helpful when sawing “normally” but might cause fatigue when cutting overhead. The rubber handles at both ends should help ease fatigue when cutting. Mine came with a 24 TPI bi-metal blade and a bonus 6” 24 TPI bi-metal reciprocating saw blade but no instructions of any kind. Not really necessary but I don’t know how many turns of the tensioning knob are necessary. (Trial & error?) The wing-style nut used for tensioning the blade moves very smoothly and is comfortable. Klein apparently listened to some of the earlier complaints and fixed these problems: The blades fit inside the top of the saw with no problems. (No longer too short). The tensioning knob travels down far enough to easily remove and install the blades. I’ll report back later with more comments after using it to make various cuts. UPDATE 1/17/2021: I intended to report back sooner but didn’t make it. This continues to be a durable and accurate saw. I have used it to cut lots of aluminum and steel and it definitely works much better than any hacksaw I have ever owned. The amount of tension on the blade hasn’t made a noticeable difference to me so I don’t think it’s an issue for this saw. Very durable and still going strong! Review: Great - Great hacksaw. This is very important to me.** A: Despite all of the sales patter from Klein thus item is Made in China and appears to have been shipped through Klein Mexico. Makes you wonder if this is some sort of scheme to get around the China tariffs. **Q: Is the frame aluminum ? Also, what's better, this of the Dewalt multi hacksaw?** A: I had this for sometime now and I'm glad I made the purchase. I am an Electrician. The frame is light so if I had to guess I would say yes it is aluminum. **Q: I know Klein is more on the electrical side, I’m getting into carpentry, is this still a good hacksaw choice?** A: Carpenters often have to deal with problems re bolts, nails, and general metal working.
