You have to check each time because the suction will occasionally break and the grip can be unsafe. Clean the tile with lime cleaner if it needs it. There can be no soap scum. (Never use anything labeled as soap and you won't get scum. Use body washes.) After a year or two the plastic will become more rigid and they will fall off and not stay on. Then they're done, but this one lasts better than the others. I'm giving in a 5 because it does about as well as can be expected from a suction grip. I got one of the fake chrome ones with a worse suction and it didn't stick a day.
