I tried watching a few videos to see if I could learn to tile myself and finally decided to buy a book. I purchased this book based on the great reviews and I have to agree with them all. It really breaks down every aspect of tiling. It goes into details about prepping the area (demolition and deconstruction), how to prep a floor or wall for tiling (cement board, thin set, etc), and then has great details on how to do the tiling, how to space the tile, what grout to use based on the spacing, how to cut tile for edges and obstacles and so much more. I also like how it goes into great detail to describe the various tools you will need to get the project done and what they are used for. Nothing is worse than starting a project and getting stuck because you don't have the right tool. I find a book is so much more useful than looking at a video online.
