Excellent Scoop – Worth Every Penny
I’ve been using the Zeroll 20 regularly since January, and it’s easily the best ice cream scoop I’ve owned. It glides through even hard ice cream and makes perfect scoops without straining your hand or bending like regular spoons. The build quality is excellent, and although it’s not dishwasher safe, it’s super easy to clean by hand thanks to the smooth, seamless design. That minor drawback doesn’t bother me at all.If you eat ice cream often, this is a game-changer. No more bent kitchen spoons. Highly recommended!

Yes, it really does work; a very nice ice cream scoop
OK, so, right off the bat I need to say that, no, this ice cream scoop is not magic. It will not make scooping hard ice cream like putting a hot knife through butter. It is not DRAMATICALLY better than a scoop that has less heat conduction than the aluminum and refrigerant construction. I once read about an ice cream scoop that had an insulated handle with a hollow interior, into which you would pour boiling hot water, plug it up, then use right away on the ice cream. Now THAT scoop was probably very much like using a hot knife on butter (or on ice cream, anyway)! I don't know if it's still made or not, but I wouldn't be interested even if it was, as it would be too much trouble to have to charge the scoop with very hot (or near-boiling) water every time you wanted to use it. But, anyway, the point is that if you are expecting something like that, you will not find it here in this Zeroll Original Ice Cream scoop. However, that said, I have to tell you that after we got this scoop, my wife asked me if I had turned down the temperature of the freezer because she found it noticeably easier to scoop out ice cream! I had not, of course, altered any of the settings on our fridge (and we do keep the freezer quite cold--the hard ice cream is definitely HARD--hence the reason I bought this scoop). So, yes, this scoop really does work. It really does make a difference. It's just not a dramatic one. And, for it to work, you need to scoop out your ice cream a bit on the slow side. If you try to dig it out of there at top speed, you probably won't find this scoop to make much of a difference and will just be annoyed at not being able to run it through the dish washer. But if you take a reasonable amount of time, and let the heat transfer do its thing, you will find it to be noticeably easier to scoop out your hard ice cream from the container. And the same goes for getting a ball of ice cream to release from the scoop: it may take a few seconds to fall off--but fall off it will; you just need to have a little patience.Beyond the heat conductive design, the ergonomics of this scoop are really great. It's made just so. The handle is a lovely size and shape; the scoop is a lovely size and shape; it allows you to create near perfect balls of ice cream, if that is what you desire. The aluminum is nice and shiny, although it does scratch easily (being aluminum). Of course, by the same token, it will also polish back up easily if you need a mirror finish on all your kitchen utensiles. We keep ours sitting out in a utensile jar on the counter and it looks great. The only thing I will say on the "con" side of things is that I wish I had gotten the next larger size (the 16-green one) than the one I got (the 20-gold one), as a slightly larger ball would look better on top of a sugar cone. However, it's not a big deal and the 20-gold 2 ounce scoop makes a large enough ball to work just fine with the standard sugar cones.

Great Ice Cream Scoop
This ice cream scoop works GREAT! We just hold it in our hand for a few seconds before we start scooping, and it’s like magic, no struggle, perfect round scoop every time! Before we would always struggle as we keep our ice cream in the deep freezer, but not any more, with this scoop we don’t have to worry about hot water, or having to plug anything in, it works great. Very sturdy material, not too week or heavy, small enough to fit hand comfortably, very much recommend.

Here's the scoop on the perfect scoop
Scoop quality:I've owned a lot of different ice cream scooos through the years. Many were flimsy and broke easily. Some were difficult to use, making hard to get a decent scoop of ice cream, let alone one that looked presentable. But this one suffers no such faults. It is sharp and with a perfectly shaped and sized handle, so it easily creates perfect scoops of ice cream. It is durably built and easy to clean. For a lover of good homemade ice cream like me, this is the perfect scoops of. Buy it, you won't regret it!

Smooth scooping
When my in-laws accidentally ran mine through the dishwasher, my wife and I instantly ordered a new one. Best ice cream scoops I’ve used.

Ruined after dishwasher
I saw people mentioning that you can’t put this in the dishwater or it will ruin it. I thought sure, I’ll keep that in mind.Fast forward about 6 months and I’m here writing this review now. I don’t understand how something that’s metal and made to be used in the kitchen isn’t dishwasher safe. I forgot and accidentally threw it in the dishwasher. Now it has this weird discoloration coming off of it, like an infinite amount of grey staining that keeps coming off of it no matter how many times I wash it or wipe it. I’m afraid to use it on any food now because it might stain that as well.It works well enough, but the dishwasher issue alone ruined this product for me.

Don’t put it on the dishwasher
I, like a lot of people, put mine in the dishwasher because I threw out the box without reading it. However, I scoured it with a Scotch-Brite pad and Barkeeper’s Friend, and while it’s not as shiny as it originally was, it is totally serviceable. It’s really just a cosmetic issue at this point. Takes like 3 seconds to hand wash, so I won’t make that mistake again. It’s a good scoop, and my Oxo scoop was flaking off the chrome plating.

SUPER GOOD PRODUCT
VERY nice product! Everyone suggested this and even though it’s a little pricey it is totally worth it! Bought a few for gifts as well! But very true- DO NOT PUT IN THE DISHWASHER! It will ruin it!!! Honestly you really don’t need to spend a lot of time washing it- just don’t eat off of it and rinse well!
