C1U-K82 C1U-K54A Carburetor, for Mantis Tiller 7222 7222M 7225 7920, Echo TC-210 HC-1500, Premium Cultivator Carb, Plus Rebuild Kit Primer Bulb Fuel Line and More

I ordered this replacement kit yesterday, and received it today, late morning. I have a 20+ year old Mantis tiller. Haven't used it in at least 8 years, and expected carb problems since it is a 2 stroke. I did a complete servicing of everything on the tiller, except the carb and related things. The original had issues with the fuel primer not functioning correctly. Probably a clog in the upper portion, as primer bulb would not fill, but would flood the carb. Anyway, it took about 15 minutes to swap carbs. I am mechanically inclined. Unlike the reviews I read, my rubber plug fit the fuel tank correctly. In addition, there was a 2nd plug packed in the kit. I don't know whether there was a size change over the years, but the kit has been updated. I knew that my spark plug was good, and the engine would fire with the old carb, but only for a second or two. Once I completed the swap, my tiller started on the first pull. I did tweak the adjustments on both high and low slightly, and was still getting a slightly fast idle. The idle adjustment did nothing through its entire range. I used the tiller for about 15 minutes, and the idle did slow down, so was able to make the necessary adjustments then. I continued using the tiller for a few hours off and on, and it would start with one or two pulls, depending on how much it had cooled down. No complaints whatsoever on the product, and the other items in the kit, which I will have for future use if necessary. I have a number of gas powered pieces of equipment, and have learned that it just doesn't pay to fuss around with the old, when a new carb is so cost effective. In the past 2 years I have replaced 3 carbs on different lower use maintenence equipment, all purchased here at Amazon. I've had similar results on all occasions. I love it when things just work! Just guessing, my Echo backpack leaf blower will probably be next in line come fall.

The media could not be loaded.  Item arrived a day late. But that's on Amazon not the quality of the carburetor. I have my father's Mantis Tiller that I was able to date to January of 1989. The tiller was sitting for a number of years in the basement with gas. Then sitting outside against the house for a couple years. Rather than trying to clean the carburetor I replaced the fuel tank and bought this Chinese carburetor kit. Took the air shrouds off of the engine cleaned everything out and attached this carburetor and new fuel tank. I then reassembled the air shrouds onto the engine. A couple presses of the primer bulb a little bit of Choke and the thing popped right off. No adjustments needed it idled perfectly and after it warmed up for a couple seconds it went to Full Throttle without bogging.I highly recommend this carburetor!Maybe I got lucky, but I would still buy the carburetor adjustment tools just to give the high and low idle screws a little bit of a tweak if needed.You can see in the video the engine bogs when I go to give it throttle. But that's only because the engine was cold on Startup and I didn't give it enough time to warm up. But you can see it really take off at the end of the video👍Ps, don't mind the bad lawn, we went through a pretty bad drought anything that's green is the weeds🤷‍♂️

My siter has a Mantis tiller that was not running. Everything that I needed and more was in the box and fit as it should. Tiller fired right up!

I liked the quality and ease of replacement of the old parts. Fueled it up and it ran like new.

Oh, I expected that. I would have to fiddle with the carburetor after installation to make it work. I was wrong. It took about five minutes to replace the old carburetor with this new one. After pressing the gas primer bulb five times the mantis started on the first pull and runs like a new machine. I couldn’t be happier. They also provide an extra primer bulb so later on if the bulb fails which they all do after sometime, I already have a replacement. This is a good buy for a quality product.

My 5 yr old Mantis would not start i diagnosed a fuel or carburetor problem. the Hoodell carb kit was a complete replacement even including a new air filter. Prime the new carburetor and it not only starts on the second pull but ran like a bear. The Hoodell carb., I believe is of stronger-better quality than the original. Some of the hoses were to long so ya just cut them to a proper working length.

This was a pretty complete kit for my Echo tiller. The carb did need some adjustments to run right but once you get it close it was pretty easy to finish dialing it in. No suprise given the fact that I'm sure this fits numerous small engines. All around good value for the money.

I have been fighting with my Mantis running poorly for years, not starting, no idle, and was getting ready to get rid of it altogether. Cleaned old carb and no change. Read reviews on Amazon for this kit and figured why not. Installed carb kit and was simple. Hardest problem was feeding new fuel lines into tank but a little silicone spray and off we went. Had to resize fuel lines a bit. Bought good premixed fuel from hardware store. Engine started within three pulls. Adjusted throttle screws and works better than ever.

All the parts are mostly useable. The filters were wrong for my tiller and the grommet for the fuel lines etc. was too big. I exchanged the tubing to the old grommet and everything is good. Otherwise the carburetor is a good replacement for the original.
